Let's do it: Post pictures taken with your Droid X!

You are correct, they came out and sang for North American Scum.

They played from 9 until almost 1am. It was pretty much a four hour dance party

Most people see those pictures and see a prairie full of grass and some mountains..

when I see that, I see a chunk of land that was once covered in hundreds of feet of water.. pretty crazy that it's now completely dry land, well above the sea level.

Six Flags Over Georgia

My son and I took our first visit this year to Six Flags Over Georgia last weekend. We are members of The American Coaster Enthusiasts and SFOG is getting a new coaster this year so we had to see the construction progress. It was an overcast day which played havoc with the picture quality, but being a coaster geek I had to snap a few pictures anyway:

Goliath as seen from the season pass processing line:

Twists and turns of our new coaster Dare Devil Dive. It is a Gerstlauer Euro Fighter so it will provide much fun with the quick direction changes and overbanked turns:

The lift hill of Dare Devil Dive. 90 degrees straight up | 95' tall | 95 degrees "beyond vertical" back down:

A better look at the lift hill and the converted ride sign (it used to be a sign for the "Drive In Theater" that was damaged in a storm and has since been torn down to make way for the new coaster:

The very cool looking Dare Devil Dive sign:

The lift hill of Goliath as seen from the Skybuckets - I could see the Dare Devil Dive lift hill through the trees under Goliath, but it did not show up in the picture:

That's just insane. You gota take pics when your on that thing.

Ever been to Cedar Point? Top Thrill Dragster is the craziest coaster I've been on. 420' high, 0-120 MPH in 3.8 seconds, corkscrew on the way down. Pretty fun stuff.

You need to take a VIDEO of that beyond vertical back down stuff. Sounds sweet.

Make sure to strap it down to you if you would do that though. Seems like that it would rip it right out of your hands

Never been to Cedar Point yet. That is one of the places I have got to get to.

I'll be at the media day event for Dare Devil Dive, but unfortunately I won't be taking pictures or video while on the coaster. I don't want to get thrown out of the park. I would imagine that a few weeks after it opens, some fool will have posted an on ride video to youtube. I'll keep an eye out for it. The coaster officially opens May 28th. We will be riding it earlier than that for the media event.

Edit ... Adding on to this post to prevent double posting ...

Went to Talladega, AL last Sunday with my son to watch the NASCAR boys show off their horsepower. Took a few pictures and a video:

Saw Kurt Bush signing autographs at his merchandise trailer before the race:

Our view of the track from our seats on the second row (I usually prefer seats higher up, but a friend works for Arron's who sponsors the race gave us free tickets - so they were good seats ;) ):

I'm a Kevin Harvick fan, so I snapped a pic of his car rolling out of final inspection and onto pit road:

Went to the NY Auto Show and brought my X. Used stock camera app at stock settings and sometimes Camera360 Ultimate w stock settings. They didnt come out good. I later in the day realized the lens was dirty, and the flash was on alot. I'll learn how to take good pics one of these days. But oh well I went and took a ton of shots. Link is to my album at Photobucket.

I love the auto show. My Dad would take me every year as a kid. My son could care less about it (he's 15 so anything we can do together, he thinks is lame). That new Scion looks hot. Was that a reborn Lotus Esprit in the mix too? It looked awesome. Did they have the new "New Beetle" on display? I have yet to see one in person. It looks good too.

I didn't bother looking for the Beetle, lol. Theres a billboard in town that shows it with a newer angled "spoiler" and better mpg and Im sure a few more HP. That Louts oyea that is somethin else. The new Scion was so hard to get near. Apparently Subaru will have one badged and so will Toyota as the FT-86II whatever they name it for the states I dont know. Cant wait for the Subie myself

My fat cat Azrael tanning. Gona be posting here more often as I work on taking better shots with different apps
