LG G2: Post KitKat Issues

I've got a low level squealing noise coming through my earphones when listening to any audio.

which earphones are you using? G2's original ones? I've read somewhere that this problem maybe be dependent on which earphones are used. While Sennheizer, Behringer and others trigger the issue, G2's original and Apple's don't

Haven't tried the G2's yet, will have to find them. The issue is present with my HTC One earphones, and a couple of other cheap headphones. All of these were fine on 4.2.

Hi there
I'm on 3 network (UK) and were wondering when KitKat will be available for my LG G2

There are a lot of threads on this topic. For the most G2 users the problem shown up for the first time just after having updated to 4.4.2 and some people report that a downgrade back to 4.2.2 resolved the issue...

Anyone else experiencing issues with knock-on not working well? It was just fine before.

Edit: It appears the area of the screen that responds best to knock on has changed. Now it's about an inch or two from the bottom above the LG symbol. YMMV.

To fix knock, dial 3845#*802# (802 is phone model), you will see the hidden menu, look for "Settings->Update Touch Firmware" click there and ready, it work for me. Don't change anything else if you are not sure

Although my Knock works fine, I tried this on my Verizon G2 (VS980), just to see what I would get... 3845#*980# gives me nothing, pressing Send just gives me a Verizon error message, perhaps this only works on the International Version.
