LG G3 Lock Screen 'Weather Animation' Broken?

I thought mine was the only one. Mine is checked and I don't see anything. Interesting. Its raining now and still nothing.

It depends how often you have it updating, if it was raining now and it won't update for another 2 hours it won't show unless its still raining when it does

go to settings then lockscreen and then check widgets box. (show widgets on lockscreen)

then go to lockscreen and pull down the screen.and then push the screen right and add widget and choose weather. after do all you will see its working. thats all.

Yeah mine don't work either. I have another problem. The stock weather app that gives you all those cutesy comments about taking an umbrella or you can see the stars started giving me misinformation like it will rain all day when the app itself predicted full sun and 0% chance of rain.
So I removed the widget. But I cannot for the life of me find it again. There are only 2 weather widgets and neither one is THAT one. I wanted it back because it follows you and gives the current weather for wherever you are at the moment. The other two widgets make you select a location and cannot follow you. Pain.

I was having the same problem. Then I just turned sync on and it's working now.

I've tried to install the Rings app to no avail. It doesn't change the color, it doesn't save my location. Any suggestions? Very frustrated. :'(

Got it finally working. I had to root my phone and install "G3 TweaksBox". Under Lock Screen there is option "Enable all weather effects". I have posted a small clip to YouTube, but I am a new member so I can't post any links, so you'll have to add the missing part to next address.

HOW TO FIX:

First, it doesn't matter if your LOCATION SETTING is on or not- mine is not on.

Second, i have my SYNC turned ON. (Not sure if this is a factor or not.)

Third, make sure the WEATHER ANIMATION is checked on in the LOCK SCREEN SETTINGS.

Now, within your stock "weather"app, go to the CITY LIST. It should be up at the top right next to the plus icon and settings icon.

Delete all your set locations.

Then, add a new location and type in your area code. (THIS SHOULD FIX IT)

If it doesn't work, add a new location again, but this time instead of entering your area code, click current location.
(THIS SHOULD FIX IT)

I have both, the city with the zip and current location, even though they are the same city.

I've seen snow and rain so far, it looks good. Hope this works for yall!

Also, the weather has to be raining or snowing in order to see the stock weather animations on your G3. And i didn't mean to post it twice, sorry!

This used to work before the last patch. You can no longer add widgets to the lock screen. Instead they replaced it with annoying notification popups.

It's also included in the G3 TweaksBox Xposed module which makes it dead simple (i.e. a check box).

Not true if you are on lollipop, xposed broke weather animation's on 5.0

in settings sound scroll down to notifications click lockscreen an choose show all notifications n ur weather app will show the weather on the lockscreen thats how i got workin on lollipop
