Well. I've gone for it. Full restore and reset. Will feedback if I see any improvement.

Not a great start. Did the lg backup and definitely created a backup file. When I go to restore it shows no back up file.

Not sure tbh. Despite showing no back up all my apps started to download automatically. I guess from google back up as opposed to lg's.

Looks like lollipop has taken away more than it has to offer. Like my cool and easy guest mode with which I could let anyone handle my mobile. Lags on homescreen. Just try to return to homescreen from any app or lockscreen, it lags and jumps on return. All these problems EXIST EVEN AFTER HARD RESET. LG keyboard has become more laggy. Most of the times it doesn't leave a space between the words in swyping mode.

Not a little hit but my battery on g3 drains rapidly no matter even if i turn off location brigntess internet wifi etc

I moved back to 4.4.2 & very happy with it. Lullipoop sux.

I thought I'd fixed the lag issues on KitKat by changing to ART, but Lollipop has made it worse again! Terrible lag on homescreens, and also overheating issues.

Same here. I think my phone was faster and colder while i was using kitkat. Im lagging on my home screen just for a single swipe. And getting overheat for no reason. OMG.

I would recommend a factory reset to anybody that has any problems after updating to 5.0 .

I tried with clean wipe by going to recovery mode along with factory reset from settings menu. It didn't make any difference to Version 5.0. So I went back to 4.4.2. Too many bugs, too many useful features taken away making place for useless craps by google and LG both(Especially Guest mode). ART still sux.

Let's wait for 5.0.2 that will be launched by February. I think LG would forget 5.0.1 and launch directly 5.0.2. I didn't have noticed so much changes, but it´s true that returning to home Screen is a little bit slower than Kit-Kat. Tell us about you factory reset results

After factory reset, all the bugs still stays like,
1 No restricted "Users mode" like we have in 4.4.2 with "Guest" mode where in we can restrict the app access to guests.
2 ART is too too laggy. Scrolling is lagging
3 Home screen widgets keep jumping on entry (No animation) no matter where you are coming back from like from lock screen or another home screen or from the menu
4 Keyboard is same with no changes and leaving space between words when you swipe is still missing.
5 RAM consumption was also high
6 Heating of the phone became regular phenomena.
7 Overall A MINUS LEVEL PERFORMANCE in Android 5.0.
Disappointed by both LG and Google.

^^^It might be worth backing everything up and Factory Resetting, ghastly business though that is.

There is a long history of OTAs causing problems, and a factory reset usually resolves them. Sad, but true.
