LG G3 lollipop problems

Hey guys, anyone knows where the gesture settings have gone on lollipop? I mean turn phone to silent on an incoming call or take the phone to your ear to answer etc. There is something new similar to that but I'm not satisfied with it

Thanks for help on factory reset. I did it and now my phone doesn't heat up and the battery lasts the whole day again. I don't have lollipop yet.

After i updated my lg g3(international version d855) to lollipop there are several bugs.
1)guest mode is tooooo slow
2)after switching on battery saver option, the screen becomes red (top and bottom layer of phone)
3)the back portion of phone becomes tooooo hot even using normally
4)battery is draining quickly
Plzz someone contact developers and tell about bugs and fix them

Well the first two are not bugs, that is just the way those features work, and about the last two a factory reset might help.

After factory reset also there is battery drain and ovrtheating issues plzzz solve

Re: LG G3 lollipop problems - Should I upgrade?

Hi there,

I am an update junkie but having read through all the posts I am not sure If I should update my new LG G3 phone. The details are
LG G3 (D855 ) India ( So must be the international verions)
Currently running
Kitkat 4.4.2
Build number KVT49L.A1418283121
Software version:
V10o-IND-XX.

I have received the following update OTA
It says its a new OS version: V20f-DEC-23-2014 (514.16 MB)

After going through th posts in this thread I have the following questions.

Is this the Lollipop udate? Is it worth the update? What are the major changes which you can experience ? I am aware of the notifications , any other ?
Does the phone heat up after this update ? ( I have read earlier that after the update it heats up but when you do a factory reset after the update this is sorted . Is this true?
How does the battery behave after the update? Does it drain very quickly ?

How easy is it to go back to 4.4.2 if I don't like Lollipop? If so which is the best thread to follow to downgrade?

Going  in deciding whether to upgrade or not!!:'(:-\:p
Please help.

Since the Lollipop 5.0 update is anyone else getting the bug (on LG G3) where the pull down menu gradually stops working? I've tried restarting the phone, but again the pull down menu becomes intermittent and then just stops working. So infuriating as can't turn on/off wifi, rotate screen, etc!

Had nothing but problems ever since this update but this has to be the worst so far!
other issues: time is 1 minute behind, screen displays random graphics occasionally, screen unlock is very temperamental, etc.

I did a factory reset and have NONE of these problems mentioned here.. NONE. Battery life is BETTER than it was on KIT KAT< yes BETTER> ;)
44% screen usage and still have 4 hours left... Are You Kidding me!?!?! ! I'm going on 16+ hours here... who can beat that!? The freakn Iphone!?!?! LMFAO!!

I just update my LG G3 to the new 5.01 Lollipop. Now my OK Google won’t respond. I used to be able to just say OK Google and it would come right up now it doesn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to use the power and volume down button at the same time now for a screenshot. I loved the quick swipe. This kinda sucks a little. :-\

Lollipop has a CM like Do Not Disturb setting that I really like when I was on CM with my Nexus. Settings/Sound/Do Not Disturb

Also the screen shot was taken with the same Kit Kat gesture, power and volume down button combo.

my wireless charging keeps cutting on and off and making that stupid connect/disconnect noise every few seconds. Like it cannot decide what to do. Was fine (LGG3) until Lollipop update....

Sounds like I'll deff be doing a reset too than lol

FYI do not disturb was available in KK it was called quiet mode, I am using it currently and have been.
Yes that's correct, I missed the quiet mode a lot until I found this Do Not Disturb mode in settings which I prefer now that I think about it. In Kit Kat I had to remember to turn on the quiet mode on , in Lollipop I just set it and forget it. But maybe this was available in Kit Kat too? Still a cool feature and maybe borrowed from CM. Gotta luv Android .

Yeah you can set a schedule. I do miss profiles in CM. Really thinking about rooting finally.

Same problem here. On AT&T, so using a Powermat PMA charger. Now that I know it's not just me, there's a glimmer of hope that the issue will be fixed.
