LG G3 lollipop problems

I updated to lollipop a few weeks ago and I haven't had any of the problems I've read on this thread, but my contacts have stopped. I can't make any out going calls or edit my contacts at all. I've read that it could have something to do with the calendar settings but I've already looked into that and fixed that. Have done a factory reset as well. Still doesn't work. Anyone know anything?

Same problem here. On AT&T, so using a Powermat PMA charger. Now that I know it's not just me, there's a glimmer of hope that the issue will be fixed.

Just watched on Youtube a guy testing out the LG G3 QI stand. He reported that although the instructions said "Use a 1 amp or 1.8 amp charger", the former cuts in and out and is unreliable. The 1.8 amp works like a dream.

Is your charger 1 amp?

You may have hit on something. The Powermat is 1 amp. It is PMA, used on AT&T, not Qi. However, it did work normally with KitKat and does not work with Lollipop. The price on these Powermats on Amazon has dropped precipitously from $40 to $9 (dual chargers). I can't find the specs showing the amperage for the models advertised on Amazon. Maybe the new software assumes a stronger, speedier charger and fails with the slower, 1 amp chargers.
While I'd like to find a solution to this problem, I'm not about to invest in a new 2 amp charger, if that proves to be the solution. My phone has plenty of power to last a full day and then some. Plugging in a cord is no big deal and definitely more reliable than placing the phone on a pad. Been burned once by this wireless charging fiasco, not about to get burned again.

I have a Verizon g3..still haven't received lollipop is this normal? Lol

Yes, it normal. Apparently Verizon is lagging behind other carriers. I am with Bell in Canada and have had the 5.0 update for 2 months now. I guess they say.... Patience is a virtue!

I have been very fortunate in that the update to Android 5.0 was problem free and has actually improved performance. I don't understand how these updates are so wildly unpredictable. I wish carriers wouldn't meddle so much.

I just upgraded to 5.0.1 using the Vzw upgrade tool. I had to factory reset to clean up glitches. I set my comcast email acct. with no issues initially. Now it won't connect with the server. Tried manually to connect using pop3 settings. I know incoming setting is mail.comcast.net and outgoing is smtp.comcast.net. Does anyone know the right combination of secure or not and port #s?

I was having issues when trying to sync my Comcast over WiFi. As soon as I turned it off, It worked fine. I then installed the xfinity connect app, but I didn't like how you could not set sync schedule and it was draining battery. I went back to stock "other" email and it is fine for now

You are right. Once I turned off WiFi, my android email app connected(over data). However, once I turned WiFi back on, I get the server error. Very strange. All other apps that use WiFi have no issues connecting. Any ideas?

I read somewhere online about it being an issue with the generic email app and not with regard to any phone. That was what prompted me to delete the account and try xfinity connects it is their app. Here is a solution you can try though by switching to imap settings

FYI it will sync all emails, as opposed to just 50 or 100 this way.

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried using imap with settings in
the table on the site that was attached. Still didn't work. I am
using the xfinity app to retrieve email. I'll wait till they figure it
out before I use stock email app.

I got an unlocked, international (D855) G3 about 3 weeks ago and it immediately updated to lollipop as soon as I set it up.
Been perfect, no problems at all. Runs really smooth, no lags, no heat problems, stays perfectly cool and is really fast.

My wireless charging still works perfectly, no change from Lollipop upgrade.

Verizon LG G3 issues I have found so far are:
Unstable WiFi, constantly connecting/disconnecting
Unable to receive calls, or text messages in hangouts when connected to wifi(Probably due to the WiFi issue)
