LG G3 questions

Hello everyone, I just had to switch to lg g3, previously was using htc m8, so I have few questions about it.
First, is it possible to get rid of that stupid Google Photos and use default photo gallery? My biggest problem is, if I have photo albums hidden in default gallery they still show up in google photos, especially i hate that google "recent" shows all of your images.
Second, looks like i cant highlight and copy just part of the message? I have to copy it all? is there an app that I can get that will do that for me?

Long press Gallery. Drag it to the homescreen. Use it. (To uninstall an app that came with the phone, you;d have to root the ROM. (Then I suggest that you freeze it first - use Link2SD - to make sure that the phone still works without it. if the phone needs it, you can unfreeze it. If you uninstall it and the phone needs it, you could be in trouble.)

Not one that I know of. Maybe someone does.

thanks for the answer, however, my main thing is when i try to attach an image to the message it pulls up that stupid google photos app. what i want it to do is pull up gallery, like my m8 used to.

You could try using something like Default App Manager http://market.android.com/details?id=com.appiator.defaultappmanager to change the default photo app.

Hi, I have a lg g3 too. Unfortunately that's just the default set up, tried to change it and i dont believe it's possible. You do however have other options (and better) for texting. Hangouts is great for texting and I like textra. I stopped using the default messenging bc the over sharpening annoyed me, not impressed with their texting interface and I agree Google photos sucks.

I agree. The stock message app I found was cr*p. I set hangouts to be default sms app and it works great (mind you. 99% of my texts are on whatsapp)
