LG G3: Verizon

Re: Verizon Pre-order

I got the Metallic Black version. My current phone and tablet is white so I decided to go different this time. Kinda wanted the gold for some reason but only Sprint is getting that one.

Re: Verizon Pre-order

I went with the black. Wanted the gold but not on Verizon. I figure if I put a case on the phone the color doesn't matter.

Re: Verizon Pre-order

I went with the metallic black. Also, I have the G2 currently and the V badge on the front is never a concern. It's so small, it doesn't draw your eyes to it.

Re: Verizon Pre-order

I pre-ordered too today! So glad the day has arrived. Also glad Big Red vent with the 3/32GB model and supports wireless charging. I also ordered the Quick Circle case, even though I am not a case person. Looks great!

Re: Verizon Pre-order

I also pre-ordered mine today....I went with the black metallic. Btw did anyone pay retail price to keep unlimited data? I chose the no contract option since I want the unlimited data.

Re: Verizon Pre-order

I just talked to Verizon and they told me phone is set to ship tonight or tomorrow am. She said she sees that it is already in warehouse. She thought I would receive by wed the latest. I did not get overnight because of preorder. Who knows if this is accurate just wanted to post to see if anyone else heard same.

So Best Buy does not have the Pre-order for verizon up on their site yet, but they were still able to take a pre-order. They didn't have information on what their listing price would be but offered to match Verizon's promo price of $99. Sweet deal!!! With buy back protection on my S3, I get $120 trade-in + the $50 gift card I have on reserve with BB for purchasing a new phone this year. Its like their paying me to take a new phone. Love it!

Vzw already promoting the G3 on TV.

Or you can buy one for $99 switch it to your unlimited line and cancel your contract for $350. I think I rather pay $450 than full retail ($599).

I wish I can but all my lines are taken. I can only have 5 lines and all 5 are used. But that's actually a good ideas.

How do youpreorder with best buy?

Online or in store?

Re: Verizon Pre-order

I went into my Verizon store and was looking at the two colors. The Black Metallic has the same colored back back as all the other G3's except for the pure black face which makes it look really cheap. It just seems like it takes away a lot from the overall look. The white actually looks a lot better. Which I don't say very often with phone. I would go with white

I tried to pre-order in store today using device payment plan in order to keep my unlimited plan but was unsuccessful. They were willing to do it for me but payment plan is only allowed for phones in existing inventory. They only have virtual stock of g3 and couldn't get it done. I'll have to come back on the 17th.

Same thing happened to me last year with the S4. Had to wait for the phone to actually come out.

You still have to pay full price for the phone or return it.

i would assume that the $350 etf covers all of that...you wouldn't pay the difference if you were year into your contract...this of course is assuming that you are outside of your 14 day period

Debating the best method for adding and keeping Unlimited Data.

According to this chat, if you pay the ETF you keep the device.

So the math to add a line and cancel it would be:
$35 activation fee
$10 line access
$99 phone on 2 year contract
$350 ETF
____
$494

Or, if you add a line and just pay the $10/month for line access for the 24 months:
$35 activation fee
$10 line access (x24 = $240)
$99 phone
____
$374

This is based on a Nationwide family share plan, not the newer plans. Hmmm.
