Had my LG G4 free from AC just over a week. It is no more. Many faults, overheating amongst others. Today the phone overheated, battery went from 99% to 61% in two minutes the phone died. The phone was roasting hot. Put a brand new battery in. No luck, phone dead, tried the usual resets. It's dead. I must have had a bad one. I can't complain as it was free. I am back to my LG G3. Goodbye LG G4 forum. My view on this phone? For me awful!!

Too bad.....but I wouldn't let 1 bad phone be the sole impression of the device. Too many people who have had a experience like this taint their whole opinion on it.

Well see if you can send it to someone to repair it or get a replacement for it.

It's a shame that it happened, but wouldn't deter me from getting a new one.

OP, you obviously had a bad device. Replace it or keep your G3 but that's your choice. It happens from time to time when you manufacturer millions of devices.

While it does suck, I certainly wouldn't give up with the G4. But that's my view.

It should have manufacturers warranty on it for a year. Why not call LG and have them replace it?

Did you contact LG for warranty? My H815 has been running cool and the battery life is better than my G3's. Difficult to measure but at the end of the day I have plenty of battery left.

OP you're not throwing it away right? Seems like you are base on your post. Sorry to hear, contact LG and let us know.

I got my G4 from AC as well.

Sorry to hear. I would contact lg to see what they can do

I'm in the US. Our H815's are covered by LG warranty. 15 months from the date of manufacture.

Do we need to register it on teh LG website or anything? Because we dont have a reciept.

From what I understand it's tied to the phone, not the owner. When I called LG they answered hello and my name! I realized I contact them via landline with a G3 question last year, and they kept the info. I was asked to read off my IMEI # - and I did - but first I made clear I just wanted to check warranty and not register my phone at this time. I was told it wouldn't be registered.

Lg said a European unlocked model will not be warrantied in the United States

You asked them if a European unlocked model was warrantied in the US? If you read my post they looked up my IMEI. No need to mention anything else to LG but those numbers. Also, above the barcode it states "USA."
We're talking about the H815's we got from AC.

They looked up my H815 imei and it said UK model and LG US will not work on it so I'd have to call the UK office.
