LG G4 H815 Android Marshmallow update rollout and initial impressions

Hello, just joined the forum.

Strange one for me. Been using my G4 for a while. I connected it to LG Bridge yesterday, and was told about an update available. I didn't do it then, thinking that I've got more time during Saturday, but now when I request the update with the phone plugged in, it tells me phone is up to date.

Same happened to me. On Thursday I was having problems with my BT router not allowing access to bridge {network not available} and used my phones mobile hot-spot to check for updates. Found marshmallow but as it was 1.5gb I didn't have enough data so didn't go through with download.
Solved "network problem" on Saturday {switched off router's BT Smart setup option} and connected by cable only to be told that I am up to date. Tried mobile data again but still said up to date!
H815 unlocked in UK.
No OTA either.

After yet another day with the update not showing I just lost patience, went over to XDA, got the official .kdz of the update and flashed it. It was a piece of cake, took less than 15 minutes.

Really liking the new look of the multitasking screen and the new permissions are great to prevent some greedy apps.

Checked the bridge just after the above post and found marshmallow was available again. Downloaded and installed successfully (UK unlocked).
Couldn't post a reply via app or website following update.
Hopefully will post this morning!

I managed to install MM via LG bridge last night. battery is a concern.. at 52% with 1 hour and 1 minute screen on time :-\

I cannot get LG Bridge to run. It hangs at a point when I select Software Update, it says that I have no network access. That makes no sense. I installed the software on a Windows 7 Pro system. The back up function is working in LG Bridge by the way.

I would love to install Marshmallow on my LG G4 H815. Any pointers? Thanks!

Still waiting on carriers to add their bloat, then testing to make sure their bloat works even if it means breaking the OS.

Probably after the LG G5 comes out. Because they would prefer people upgrading to the new phone than updating the old one.

Battery life has been roughly the same for me compared to Lollipop.

Standby time has improved thanks to Doze, however. I usually lose 3-5%. Now, I lose 1-2%.

The screen on time with Marshmallow is very poor. Im getting half the screen on time compared to lollipop. I wonder how others are going with marshmallow

Same. Around 2.5 hours screen-on with M, compared to over 5 hours with L. Doze doesn't work on mine either it looks like as I've yet so see anything even resembling a flat line no matter how long I leave the phone down for.

I dont care about thr doze feature. I am more worried about the screen on time. Screen on time is very poor. I used to get around 4 hrs with lollipop. Now i am nowhere near it. I wonder if it would improve overtime.

If it helps, my initial SOT just after the update was poor. Around 1.5-2.

Now, it's around 3-3.5. About the same as with Lollipop.

I used to get 4 hours as a minimum. What is the point of upgrading OS if it is going to perform worse. I waited all this time not to root so i can just wait for marshmallow to be released and now i regret waiting. I guess i will go on a custom rom. This is unacceptable

Just saying that if you just updated, give it some time
