LG G6 a flop? Low sales?

I wouldn't knock it though.. I came from the V10 to the v20 to the G6.. And this device is actually the most complete.. I'm happy they added the manual video option on this version.. But as far as UI, it's the most optimized, best battery life and marginally better camera (differs per user).. So as far as specs, it might not be what everyone is doing this year but it has the same chip set as the Pixel, which I've heard from users is still smoother than the S8..

I would have a G6 today if it had 64 GB of memory and a Quad DAC. My 3 year old phone has 32 GB of memory and I always run low. SD cards are great for media, but not applications. These requirements on not a issue for current G6 buyers, but they are for me. I will wait and see what the V30 brings.

And which flagship nowdays have removable battery S8, U11, iP7, P10 ? Srsly when was the last time flagship had removable battery ? Like 2-3 yrs ago.. iphone has non removable since the first phone, and all of them are sealed.. So you will be looking for what ? G4, S5 ? Or similar flagships with removable battery.. G6 is fine phone that can work great for next 2-3 yrs.. And what about people who have low/mid range phones if they can be satisfied so can anyone.. Not like anyone uses phone for something else than surfing, social networks, youtube, mailing and stuff like that.. And beside u have 2 yrs warrinty so ? Who cares about non removable battery if you charge it correctly it can last long.
I had iphone 5 since 2012 until 2016 with original battery so.. And most of the people will not see the diffrence between sp821 and 835 so called g6 and s8, glass back is because of wireless charging.

This makes me wanna rant so bad about it XD ahah but yeah i agree ! Although you will see a difference in processor, just not with the s8, hell even the op5 barely had 1-2 seconds difference in opening apps and some were faster on the g6. Unless you do hardcore gaming or cpu intensive task you'll be fine either way. It's pretty much like a computer cpu, do you upgrade yours every year ? I highly doubt it so why would it be different on a phone ? that's just for bragging rights imho.

Yeah i mean i use mostly mail, office package, whatsapp, chrome, music, idk camera, tapatalk and stuff like that. Games on smartphone are for me s*it hahaha don't play games on my pc even. I play only poker on phone, because i really love poker. But other games noup, although in study IT. 😁 maybe that's the irony hahah...

I've thought the same, there's a lot of talk about branding, marketing and brainwashing to make people buy Samsung devices but at least in the UK they're selling lower spec, less flashy devices at a higher price. The higher spec grey import G6's are now as low as £300 which is a great price for phone however a UK G6 with less memory and no quad DAC is nearly double that price and not much less than the higher specced S8's. Even allowing for adding proper taxes and similar, the UK G6's are expensive and they're underspecced.

The LG V20 looks an ideal replacement for my Note 4 and they were given a fantastic chance to take a good chunk of the market when Samsung made such a mess of the Note 7. However while the V10 had a limited release in Europe (never made it to the UK), the V20 wasn't sold at all in Europe and while I could buy a grey import I'd prefer one that's officially supported here. Hence will probably end up with another Samsung because they actually sell their phones in my territory and don't underspec them.

I don't care about the DAC but I agree the 32GB is painful.

And I'm just curious, how many people want that quad DAC to listen to their MP3 collection or streaming!

Lol.

i work in audio and I work with high quality files all day. This is ultimately why I'm not sad about losing the Quad DAC because I know that mp3 files and ESPECIALLY streaming will never use the extent of what the DAC can accomplish.. Now if I were listening to lossless files that would be different, but I don't carry those with my on my phone. But I will say this, even with mp3s and streaming, the DAC did make it sound better.. whether it was simply a filter that was activated or what.. but not enough for me to fight about..

The DAC improves all files but if you have something bad it will accent the bad.

Why is the smartphone market a duopoly? Why can’t there be healthy competition between all manufacturers like in the car, TV, and PC industries?

My 1st post & timely topic as my Tmobile S6 lease is up. I was automatically gonna get the S8 or S8+, but I must say I sure liked the G6 at the store. I'm a heavy user & the only downside to the G6 for me was the 32gb, and non support for easily syncing Office products. Waiting til the Note 8 arrives to make my decision. must say I sure do like the price of the G6

Streaming high quality music is a thing via Tidal. It just costs more then the others of course. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...%2F%2Ftidal.com%2Fus%2Ftry-now&token=bCUylEoS

What issue with Office syncing is there? I have no issue on my G6.

I thought the 32 GB would be a deal breaker too but it hasn't been that big an issue for me. Yes I would have preferred 64gb internal storage but I try to keep minimum 4-5 gb free and haven't had any big issues with lack of storage

I'd say 50% of apps can be loaded to the micro SD card, and you can save your camera pics directly to SD card as well.

I have a 200gb micro SD card filled with music, movies, TV shows, tons of family pics, and still have 80gb free

So yeah I have to be more conscious about the 32 GB, but definitely not a deal breaker

I forgot to say guys, you know what's one of my greatest features on G6, you can listen up music while taking photos. And that's dope for me. Like on my G3 i listen to music, see something cool went to take, a photo of it and the phone just bit*h slap me saying you won't listen to music while doing it and i was like NOOOOOOO, YOU NO DO DIS. 😂😂😂

LG has zero marketing, in my country i saw so many S8 and S7 commercials, yet only 1 or 2 G6 commercials.

Also in a way, they do deserve it, UK got the worse G6 with zero good features, they need to make 1 G6 with ALL the features for everyone, just like S8, in that regard, the S8 is light years ahead of LG, and they'll never catch it as long as they gonna play this stupid games.

Like the previous year, the V series can fix it major problems, but it will face the toughest competition from Sammy, Apple, and Huawei.

Mchi5 yeah some of the comments are funny. I also don't see anything else on tv or bilboards that is something else than s8/+ but **** it i also don't see iphone commercials but people here in croatia buy it like crazy. All i see is iphone or samsung. What i feel sorry the most is the G6 Goldberg commercial idk who saw but when i saw that commercial i fell in love with g6.
