Hi i just bought a new mobile phone LG G7 thinq...64gb storage and 4gb ram. One thing i notice is the battery is draining very quickly. I have just charge it to 100% and it is showing 9hours and 20 mins remaining time...how is that possible..it is a 3000mah battery. I have disabled on screen display, screen resolution to 1080p instead of 1440p. Pls help. Is this batrery faulty..

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the G7 One forum to the G7 ThinQ forum.

Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

Is the phone actually draining, like the actual percentage is going down fast? Because the time remaining will change over time as it learns the phone's usage. I wouldn't put too much stock on the time remaining info. After few days the battery should settle. I'm getting great battery life on my G7. Unplug at 6am until 11pm. I get 4-5 hours of screen on time with medium use and will still have 30-40% battery left. And I disable AOD.

I disable aod, resolution changed from high to medium, i have also turned off mobile data background for some applications. Today i got this result.see attachment. Is screen usage around 6 hours from a 100 to 0 on lg g7 good ? Can you see the picture and advice me if something is wrong or it is normal battery life on a lg g7. Thamk you guys.

That battery life looks pretty good. Since you have 23% battery left, your total screen time would be extrapolated to 442 minutes, which is 7.3 hours. The average screen-on time for most phones is around 5-6 hours.

The 16% Phone Idle battery use might also suggest poor cell signal at times, which can contribute to battery drain. That's why it's helpful to see a cell signal strength graph over the duration of usage.

I would say that's very good to great battery life! Some phones barely get 4 hours of screen time.

If in the future, i want to use a new battery into LG G7, is it possible to replace it? I understand it is a non replaceable battery and the glass cover behind is stick with glue that i know. So how many years can the battery survive ? My guess is 2 or 3 years. Correct me if i am wrong. Thank.

A battery's lifespan depends in part on how you treat it. If you abuse it (e.g., letting it drain to zero every time, or using it frequently in very hot or very cold temperatures), that can shorten the lifespan. If you make a habit of charging when the battery gets down to 30-40%, it should last for more than 2-3 years. You might start noticing that the battery doesn't hold quite as much charge after 2-3 years, but it should still be very much usable.
