LG Stylo 5 hidden camera?

Does anybody else here have a LG Stylo 5 phone and notice the little hole/lens in top right of phone that you can only see if you shine bright light on it?. I turn face cam on and only the obvious intended top left camera shows. The "hidden" cam appears to have no reaction to the image on the screen when I cover it up or not. It also does not appear to be a sensor. At the risk of sounding a little crazy, do you think this could have been installed as a spying feature by corporate or government interests?

well, it would not be a screenshot because it does not show up on the screen. It is part of the physical frame of the phone. I will try to show imgur shot though

I think Diddy is right, it is the LED light, but I don't trust them I'm gonna cover it up with tape anyway. Thanks for your help

Not everything you don't understand is some attempt to spy on you. LED notifications are very common and use to be standard on phones (before AMOLED displays and AOD became popular), so not sure why you are so skeptical.

It's not a camera or lens, and you have no basis for that claim.

A notification LED is a light, not a lens/camera. If you really wanted to make sure, you could tear the phone down and check, but that would invalidate your warranty.

And which corporate/government interests do you exactly mean? South Korea where the phone is made, the United States where maybe you live or any other country all around the world where this model is sold?

And how is possible that carriers, repairers, users and any geek all around the globe that had contact with this phone haven't noticed such a thing?

I guess if anyone was that interested in spying on you wouldn't fake a camera as a LED. They would just create a clever piece of software that uses the main cameras, mics and every existing sensor in your phone and then call home with that info, of course.
