Ok. New feature. Roaming in Canada on T-mobile LG V10. Awesome reception. Great speeds. All good. Except the phone is going to 110 degrees and discharging in 2-3 hours and won't charge well. Too hot. Turn off radio use Wi-Fi or airplane mode back to normal 90 degrees and long life. The radio and roaming is crushing the battery and overheating the phone. Any ideas?

My phone got hot and discharged very fast tonight. I brought it to the pool and just to protect it, since I don't have a case yet, I put it into a plastic ziplock bag and I took it out maybe at about 9 o'clock and it was very hot. I hadn't touched it since 4 o'clock and it was pretty well charged before I went tho the pool and just put in two names and phone numbers there.

Then later on this evening maybe about 2 a.m. It was ice cold and I went to turn on and had a zero battery and it was off. The phone is only two days old. So I put it on the fast charger, brushed my teeth well and in no time it was up to 21%. I also had a hard time with getting in the security pattern, it wasn't working and its a simple one. I had to shut off the phone and repower it on.

A phone is wth one part like a human it gotta have breathing space! Putting it into a plastic bag is basically killing it, it will overheat like crazy and when a phone any Phone is overheating it drops crazy crazy fast the battery life, and everything you described here is very normal and every phone you will do this even it will be just 2 seconds old it will happen the same exact thing! You were chocking your phone! Simple!

Let's don't forget your phone is working double shift here, its searching for service and its roaming, so the processor is working overtime non stop and this will cause overheating and battery draining no matter which phone and how old the phone is!

At 4:00AM or so my phone was fully charged, by the fast charger, and I unplugged it. Just woke up at 9:40 AM and the battery % was at 30%. That's very bad unless Santa used my phone when I was sleeping. It's dying on standby and it's always hot. My Note 2 was never like this.

The signal here is full bars everywhere I've been in the city. It shouldn't function any different than on home network? Unless the extra bands on the Telus network are using radio in a way not like in the T-Mobile network. GSAM is reporting the radio as the culprit and not the CPU. Puzzling.

I am on Tmo and spend a lot of time in vancouver. Have great reception and data without any of your overheating or battery drain symptoms. In the outskirts I did have to manually select a network but still avoided your issues. Your phone sounds wonky to me. Maybe try a manual network selection?

I may have found an answer to the heating problem and the battery life problem. AT&T Wi-Fi was on and I seem to remember that was a problem on the note 2 and I got rid of it.

I manually selected Bell it was auto selecting Telus. Both networks in Toronto work great. I also tried dropping LTE. But regardless ended up with heating issue.

I tried running mobile without Wi-Fi and that did not fix it. I think that's what you meant. Thanks.

Here is an example. 80 degrees and cruising on Wi-Fi then exit airplane mode. Temp goes from 80 to 105 in 4 minutes and the battery is getting crushed - taking 6 hours remaining down to 1.5 hours.

Tonight, my phone was at 100% at about 8:07 and now at 1:07 it says 50%. It was sitting on a Formica night table in a cool room. However, data was on, it should not have been used because Wi-Fi is pretty strong, but it was on. These are crazy numbers. I don't really know if what a good alternative is. I'm not so sure if the answer is Samsung. A better answer for me may be the iPhone 6 s plus. I don't know that LG provides that much support. Samsung is at Best Buy, Apple is at Best Buy and the Apple stores and even the Windows Phone is at best buy and Microsoft stores. So how does one see somebody live from LG to get these problems fixed and to put pressure on them. Are they reading this and if so where are some answers. I hate Apple for what they've done with corporate taxes and if I do switch, which nobody I know would believe in a million years, I can still put ressure on them for my own peace of mind on the tax issue. If my phone is going to run out in five hours well in 10 hours of standby, then this phone is not for me. I have the LG Gpad F 8 that iss being used instead of the phone otherwise the phone world be running out like crazy. The note 5 has no replaceable batteries so whatever you do you're stuck with that one battery. I don't know that's the answer because if it comes down to one battery with Samsung and one better with Apple, is there really no comparison?

LG has to step up and address this situation and maybe even have somebody come on here and talk to us. I sure hope they are reading this, if not they're imbeciles. That's the one thing about going with Apple, you know there's competence in how they design their equipment. The v10 is a beautiful phone and I saw some videos on it today that it was just incredible the phone can't get that hot and discharge that's fast when you're not even using it.

How about some screen shots of battery life so that people on here can help diagnose what is going on. There is clearly something running rogue or poor cell signal because plenty of other people get great battery life.

I get 4+ (usually 5+) hours of SOT and 13-16 hours up time every single day.

The phone can perform great. There is clearly something out of the norm going on with yours but without screen shots nobody, not even a LG tech, can help diagnose your issue.

From 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. the phone totally discharged, shut itself off and this is with data set to OFF and at the time I had 50% battery life. The phone was lying on an end table made of Formica in a cool room.

I attached three sreenshots but they're so small.

Number 2

Number 3. Are there any other screens that would be helpful? Also I now have my screen brightness set on automatic I have never done ever in my life and that's the way has been set for a few days.

Here is the screen shot from my G Pad. It has the same Exchange email and Word and Excel.

I use Lux for auto brightness but I understand it's all personal preference. I can't stand to spend a lot of time staring at a screen that is brighter than it needs to be too be functional for me.

However, the screen isn't the problem here.

Can you click on cell radio and on exchange and post those screen shots?

Also, I'm guessing you need that Microsoft exchange for work? I use exchange services for Gmail (2 accounts) but neither of them are work accounts.
