LG V20 - Camera shots! Show us your pictures

Amy! you have an LG V20 again? LOL.
Leave me alone lol JK. Yes the V20 is on Jump and I have an S7 heading my way via Amazon since I cant get away from Samsung Pay. This combo will suit me fine for some time. I can hold off until the Note 8 I believe.

Got a pic of both of our cats. Oreo on the left, Mittens on the right. Got their attention with a sparkly pipe cleaner like you'd use for crafts. The lighting sucked and had to raise the ISO a fair bit, causing a lot of noise. So I converted it to black and white, which I think saves it well.

That bottom photo means: "Seriously, again? I assume I'm getting royalties for this???"

For most any camera using the manual mode will let you get the most out of it. Granted, that is likely more true with the V20 because the auto mode does have some drawbacks like over aggressive noise reduction and favoring a high ISO setting over a longer shutter speed in low light. This has lead to many reviews (which almost always test only the auto mode) severely docking camera performance.

In my opinion, the V series is marketed as a phone for content creators, not point and shooters. It's also why I prefer it, because I'm someone that wants the added control. Plus you can still use it as a hybrid auto/manual in manual mode by still letting it pick the exposure values. The benefit here is by saving as RAW, the camera does the heavy lifting taking the shot then you can edit the RAW as you wish and get around the noise reduction issue.

Yes, I think the results on auto with the LG are not as good as I got with my Note 4. But then I start playing with the numerous options. This seems more powerful. It is not so intuitive all the time, but I feel like a real photographer again. Then, I get good shots again, with more control over them.

I would have to say....with a phone, I rarely have time to play with it. When I want to play I get my actual Nikon out. But if I'm on a trip with nothing but the phone, this is quite an interesting device.

I haven't posted in here in awhile.

This was taken with auto and HDR on. My wife, sis and brother in law at the zoo. The sun made for a pretty interesting looking photo.

sucks that it gets distorted while uploading. lol
