Re: What improvements can LG make toward the LG 30???

apparently Samsung warns customers about it in their manuals, from phones to TVs. Because of that, it's treated a customer damage..

Re: What improvements can LG make toward the LG 30???

Everything the V20 has plus:

Larger main camera sensors (same resolution or even a 12MP set of shooters on a larger physical sensor) for stand out low light performance and image clarity in a phone. Bonus points for optical zoom and a brighter flash, and especially keep the awesome rear curtain sync function.

While not really a wish for the phone itself, I think some camera accessories designed specifically for the phone would be nice. The cheap genetic clip on lenses and such are junk, but I'd be willing to try an official LG brand lens if they assured a quality product. Theo advertise the V line as a phone for creators, so this could work well in their favor.

Buttons on the back. I was indifferent having them on the back of my G4, but the V20 is just so large that it's hard to reach the volume buttons so high up on the side one handed.

Tactile back plate and side grips. The V20 is just way too slippery, and even the case I currently have is almost as bad. I want a phone with some GRIP, not one I feel is always a breath away from slipping out of my hand.

Stereo speakers would be awesome, if only to center the sound stage.

I think an active stylus like the Note line has would be cool. They need some more direct competition.

Coming from a Note 4 with an Amoled display. Once you get used to a display such as the V20 has. The contrast rich Amoled screen on my Note 4 kinda looks like a high definition 1080P of a cartoon like Bugs Bunny and and Sylvester compared to more "real world" colors of the LG V20 IMHO....:D

Re: What improvements can LG make toward the LG 30???

hmm, thats a tough one. The V20 is already a superb smartphone. I would say just make the camera better for low light photos. I think the performance is good enough and storage is fine with me. Just put in a Micro SD card if needed. They could possibly improve the water and dust resistance?

That's sort of how I feel... The Amoled looks cartoonish

My problem with the v20 display is that the colors aren't "real world" at all. The display calibration is way off, which is why anything white has such a bluish tint to it. I'd take the display on the iPhone 7 plus any day. While it's only 1080p and lcd, it's bright and really well calibrated. Since LG has it's own display division, they have the resources to make a top of the line display, so I'm not sure what their deal is.

Re: What improvements can LG make toward the LG 30???

Yes however with the buttons on the side I like using the volume button as a shutter button and the placement is just perfect when the buttons are facing up near your right index finger. That's my only drawback of putting the volume buttons on the back again.

I can take shots with one hand with my G4. Can't do it with V20.

Well you can always use the on screen button or be really cool and use the voice commands.

Re: What improvements can LG make toward the LG 30???

Remove the bulged glass case on the camera and keep it flush.

I think the point is the colors aren't natural looking and oversaturated

Re: What improvements can LG make toward the LG 30???

Keep the battery removable

Keep the storage expandable

Keep IR Blaster

Add a front flash led

Fix the grainy photos when zoomed in (V10 was better in this regard

Allow notifications to come only to second screen and not pop up on main screen

Waterproofing (or better water resistance)

Make zooming while recording video smoother

4k 60fps video recording

Allow user better button shortcut options when double clicking volume buttons with screen off

Will the V30 be made of all glass??

The trend now is all glass build. I think it looks absolutely stunning but at the same time, it'll be fragile (no more military standard). Will the next V30 be all glass like the G6? If so, say goodbye to removable batteries, there's NO way you can have a removable back glass. Have they not learned from the Note 7 debacle? If there are any battery problems, you'll end up sending the phone to LG repair center... The V20 sold well (I suppose after the Note 7 debacle), so why go all glass? Will you switch if LG decides to go all glass and non-removable batteries?

By the way the G6 seems to have a higher review rating than the V20 so they might just do it...

I hope LG doesn't sell out like all the others have. It's getting harder and harder to find removable battery phones.

Re: Will the V30 be made of all glass??

Maybe LG will come up with something like .recycled glass from airplane windows' to meet a Mil spec.

The irony is I'm around a lot of different people every day. Between commuters, coworkers, people on the street and the different networks of people I associate with. I know almost no one who goes without a case. So what's the point of a glass back?

I'm often tempted to uncase my V20 and I don't because I hate getting It banged up and its made of good old fashioned metal.

Re: Will the V30 be made of all glass??

I really hope this simple feature doesn't go away.

Re: Will the V30 be made of all glass??

I would prefer no glass and it would be something to make me jump ship with all other features being equal. In the end, it always comes down to the complete package for me. Removable battery, SD card slot, headphone jack, IR blaster, non-paper thin design, and front facing stereo speakers are all things I want in a phone. I typically include an LCD screen in that list because I like the color reproduction better, but I won't deny that AMOLED's are getting more to my tastes. Unfortunately there's nothing on the market right now that ticks all those boxes (at least for Verizon), so I have to find the right balance.

Re: Will the V30 be made of all glass??

Instead of all glass I'd love to see LG go with titanium and stick with removable batteries. That'd be a unique attraction for me.
