Re: Will the V30 be made of all glass??

I actually meant newer phones.
The V20 is still a top contender. Age is but a number, and I don't buy into this mentality that anything not bleeding edge is outdated.

Actually just read that he new v30 is a bigger g6 with possible second screen
Oh well I did not think 18 by 9 would catch on, guess I was wrong
Never getting new phone lol
Though the cheap J series Samsung still have removable batteries
I have a J3 as backup and its a pretty good phone.

Re: Will the V30 be made of all glass??

The irony is I'm around a lot of different people every day. Between commuters, coworkers, people on the street and the different networks of people I associate with. I know almost no one who goes without a case. So what's the point of a glass back?

I'm often tempted to uncase my V20 and I don't because I hate getting It banged up and its made of good old fashioned metal.
I only use the case to protect the camera lens and for the kickstand.

Definitely will pass on the v30 III the rumors pan out for the same reasons i passed on the g6. At this point, I'd probably consider the note 8 over it but i think it's more likely I'll skip both.

The moto z2 force at least offers the battery mods which if i bought 2 i could just treat then like removable batteries, but i don't know that I'd go for the 5.5" screen. Moto software is damn close to stock tho and just as fast so I'll definitely give it a look.

Instead of all glass I'd love to see LG go with titanium and stick with removable batteries. That'd be a unique attraction for me.

HELL YESSS!!! Would be costly though, lol.

that's my plan. I had the first Z Force, and I left it when I went from VZW to Tmo, rumor says the new one will not be a Verizon exclusive

You guys can say goodbye to the removable battery.

There just isn't enough reason for lg to go that route when they see some Apple and Samsung enjoy record sales and not include it. It's dead Jim.

Also, the v30 has to have amoled because after the v10 and v20 LCD I never want to go back to that tech.

Also it has to have the 835 chipset or newer because the 835 (seriously) is the best SoC I've ever used. Its that good.

Other then that I'd say that is a good start.

I agree on the AMOLED screen. SD 835 is an excellent chip. However, loyal fans of LG bought the LG G and V series primarily for the removable battery. They were only the last ones to provide it to those who wanted it. Although the SD 835 is an efficient chip, a 3200 mAh battery won't last all day for heavy users like me. Maybe sales will skyrocket? Who knows. But I'm sure that I probably won't be getting it right away, maybe after a year when prices drop. Still no word about the camera but if there's no dual pixel, then what advantage does LG have?

Re: First look at the V30

Good point....forgot that the G6 is 5.7....the upcoming mini is supposed to be 5.4
Not sure about the second remaining but I love it on the V20.

It's 18:9 like the G6. Probably more narrow screen so that it's easier to use one handed. Gonna try to copy the S8 Plus. I hope you're okay with black bars on YouTube because that's what you'll see.

Though the 835 is more efficient, 3200 mAh won't do so well with heavy usage. I'm too looking at other options. Possibly the One Plus which is cheaper and might provide better value (8GB RAM, 20MP camera, aluminium body).

Updated Samsung J series do not have it. V20 is the truly last flagship ever. Time to stock up.

That would be an absolute killer. They COULD do it, but decided to follow the current trends. The V20 was heading in the right direction. V30 is basically Galaxy S8 wannabe.

Maybe the glass and lack of battery, but LG released the first skinny phone and the V30 will still have a couple of features up their sledge

Re: Will the V30 be made of all glass??

We don't need glass....plastic works....had a nice Kevlar back on my Motorola with wireless.

Metal or plastic over glass. Just add a nice grippy rubberized texture. Glass = fingerprint and grease magnet. Also less than half of the people uses phone naked unless you're a rich person.
