Today their was a notification of a LG software update. I didn't think to write the number down before installing it.
It was approximately 216 mb or so.
It wasn't the G3 software rolldown. I checked the camera to make sure.

Anyone know what this update was for.?

My LG Volt is from Virgin Mobile and is running 4.4.2.

I'm not sure why, but checking on another site. Some people got the update and some didn't.
You should get the update, they are probably doing them in batches.
Supposedly One of the things it fixes is closing a gap so towel root no longer works.
So rooted users shouldn't do the update.

I got the update on 9/16 and it is the LS740ZV4 which was labeled Google Security Update. I did not
any visual or operational changes. My Kit-Kat version remains the 4.4.2 version. Hope this helps. ;)

I just got my update this morning 10/1 and have no clue what it is for. I still have my kit kat version 4.4.2 too. But hey a security patch is better than nothing. No visuals to apps or icons have changed that I see but a couple of settings changed in my developer options.

I was thinking about upgrading my HTC evo 3d to the LG volt and I was reading reviews and alot of people said this phone freezes alot & lags when you start to install apps, have any of you had this problem???

Also I was wondering how much internal storage it has? Specs say 8gb rom but the reviews stated 2 or 4gb. Can you verify the internal storage for me.

I came to this page to see maybe if there was an update to fix the freezing, lag issues but it sems there was just a security update.

edit: I just checked LG website and it says there was a "software update" available as of 10/04/2014. Anyone know what this updated exactly?

It has 8GB of internal storage, but how much of that is available for apps depends on the ROM running in it. Different ROMs use different amounts of storage, and some partition it so that only a part is available for apps. There's no single answer.
