LightFlow and Nexus 5

Why shouldn't the LED clear when I've read the text message? The LED clears when I read an email. So I think this is a Lightflow issue working with the integrated hangouts and SMS ?
Everything works as it should for me with LF and Hangouts, though it's possible it's buggy for you, in which case you can contact the dev. Have you tried the steps I outlined upthread? As I said there, you have to tell each notification when to clear the LED. Open Light Flow, tap Notification at top right, scroll to whatever SMS app you're using and select it. A dialogue will open. Under notification, scroll down to "Clear notification style." Tap it and choose how you want to clear the notification for SMS. Everything works for me.

Yes, I did this and It appears to be working now for the SMS. I appreciate the help. I didn't choose anything for the other apps and they worked fine so this is why I was troubled. Again thanks for the help :)

For some reason today, out of the blue, LightFlow stop working for my charging LED notification while still working for other notifications. I have tried rebooting the phone. I have disabled and reenabled that particular notification. But in the end, I still get no charging led anymore after it worked fine since I initially installed it. Strange.

It still doesn't work now. I updated lightflow in the play store.

I have set it all up and enabled it, but it doesn't turn on any notification light even though I have items that should be notifying me (testing with my own emails to myself from a computer).

It also only shows one color even though I have multiple notifications and i have turned those on too.

I tried Lightflow back when I got my Galaxy Nexus (when it first came out). I could never get it to work correctly. Unfortunately, I tried it again now, years later, for my new Nexus 5, and I still can't get it to work correctly. I love how the developer is responsive and so willing to help everyone and make improvements all the time, but they never work for me for some reason. For my Galaxy Nexus, I ended up just switching my text app to Glowfly, which took care of the customized LEDs and notifications perfectly (note: It is a texting app, not a notification app; it just happens to work that way, though. Check it out if you don't like Hangouts or your current texting app!). Even though I enjoy Hangouts for SMS, I think I might switch back to Glowfly now for the customized LED notifications.

Hey guys! I'm having some issues as well with LightFlow and my Nexus 5. It worked perfectly for my N4 but when I got my N5 it just didn't wanna turn the LED on when it gets notifications. The test on the LF App usually does the trick to show you if it works properly or not but mine just really shows nothing...

Any probably fixes to this?

Thanks a lot!

Very late reply, but I encountered a similar situation to meanred. I restored my Light Flow backup from my N4 to my new (refurb) N5, and wondered what was wrong. No notifications on the LED. I installed Light Flow Legacy due to a popup identifying issue with Android 6.

Solution: I removed all Light Flow apps (Pro and Legacy), clearing settings, reinstalled Light Flow Pro, then configured from scratch. LED notifications work champion now. New phone, new configuration. Derp.
