With every update, I find myself REALLY wishing that camcorder audio has been fixed. Backup running right now, crossing my fingers!!

By the way, for those dying to know, the camcorder audio is still the same. It sounds over modulated. I just uploaded a test clip to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyAoxNErHtU&feature=player_detailpage

Anyone else still have this? If not, I'm going to do a full wipe and try again.

Its really not that bad... I just tested mine and would say it is about the same..perhaps a bit to loud... honestly, i am just happy that the camcorder works at all... we cant have it all man!

But I WANT it all! If I didn't have kids I wouldn't even pay any attention to it, but the camcorder on my phone is a lot more convenient to grab than my actual camera.

I def agree with you, if the camcorder is a necessity for you (which it def is) i would stick with what works for you, like a bamf ROM... you will just be trading battery life for the most part. The only reason I like CM7 or LTB is because I hate sense, but if i needed to use my camcorder as you do then I wouldn't use this ROM cute kid btw...

as the builds continue to get better for this (and any AOSP ROM) keep your eye out, and of course I will continue to keep my eye out too.

I'm glad that you guys mention the camcorder issues. I was so happy with working GPS that I didn't even consider testing the audio . I too have a cute little one that I often take videos of, and it'd be really frustrating to have the perfect moment less than stellar...

Comineeyeaha - I see what you are saying and the second video is awesome, haha. No fixes here though, sorry. Like Seth said, might just have to stay on another rom until things get worked out.

Does Liquid have this same issue? Anyone know. Very close to CM7, you could make a nandroid and try it real quick.

Here you go SoDev... this is the screeny of the Minimal magic theme you wanted to see... Read the PM i sent you for more instructions let me know if I can help... also, it changes alot more than just some icons... it affects the way alot of things look all through out your phone.. just hit the market and search for CM themes, there are a ton of them, once you DL what you want you can select it from the theme chooser in you app drawer. you can also customize the theme too with adw ex, like changing the icon dock etc... thats why I love adw ex, well worth the money

Very clean dude. I've been hitting up the market for themes too. I went from LP>ADW>Go launcher. The only reason I eneded up on Go launcher is because I could never get ADW to stop giving me force closes on CM7, dunno why, tried wiping and clean installs and everything. Now I just like Go Launcher a tad better as it has little combos of both LP and ADW, but they're all awesome.

So, i rebooted my phone for no reason in particular, and the new market (which I installed from an apk i have or came with the rom, i cant remember) would only recognize my paid apps, so i had to revert back to the older market 3.0.26... just wondering if anyone using the new market 3.0.27 is having/had same issue? once I reverted to old market everything was good, and this problem only happened after rebooting phone.

I was looking around on XDA and found a post saying that they'd found a fix for the audio issues:

I just moved to Gingeritis otherwise I'd give it a go, but since we'd just been discussing this, I figured it might be useful for someone. I'll probably move back to CM7 within the next few days and give it a go.

Here is my battery life with this ROM and an app called '2x battery' by sam lu (creator of setCPU)... according to the app widget I still have 3 hrs left with 14 percent battery remaining If you look closely my girlfriend is wearing my android central shirt... she puts up with me and all of this

Right after posting that yesterday, I installed the latest Gingeritis 3D, and the camcorder audio works perfectly. Clear as a bell! I had already played around with the Sense 3.0 carousel, so I just threw LPP over top of it, but it seems like a pretty solid ROM. I'll try out LTB later on, but for now I think I'm going to just stay in one place.

As far as the speakerphone... agian we cant have it all with this ROM, im just glad it works....

as for themeing (spelling???) go to the android market and type CM7 themes. there will a whole bunch. then you find some you want you can then apply them with theme chooser in your app drawer, also make sure your read the description of the theme inthe market first. some themes only work with HDPI phones have fun. I am using minimal magic with a mix of adw themed icons too.

It's just like a ROM file ... don't wipe, but make a nandroid backup, then install the kernel .zip file from your sd card in Recovery, reboot, and you're good to go.

Really? I've tried most of them out and having heard about CM for years I expected great things but it didn't really seem to wow me.

Now I'm questioning myself. I'll probably have to give it another run.

There are a lot of custom features built into the ROM. I agree at first glance it doesn't look like much, motoblur and sense are much more flashy skin level. But after trying it a couple times I figured out what all of the rave was about. I do miss a couple sense features, but I'm very happy with this rom.

Anyone else have trouble registering on rootzwiki? I complete all of the fields, agree to the rules and click complete registration and nothing happens. Tried it on chrome and ie9.

Okay I figured out what I was doing wrong and i feel like an idiot. The anti-spam picture i always thought was just an add and i was skipping right over it without paying attention to it. When I was grabbing the latest kernel I tried registering a couple times again with no luck, then on the third try I noticed I needed to complete that picture, duh!
