Sorry if this is a dumb question, but coming from AOSPTheory, did I follow the correct steps to install this ROM?

1. Create backup with ROM Manager and backed up apps with TiBackup
2. Go into recovery and wipe Data/Cache/Dalvik
3. Install CM7

Now do I restore that back up I made with ROM Manager?

Well I was playing with my music and whatnot on my phone I go to click on YouTube and it crashes and wipes all my data and everything without my say so. I go to restore my old Ron which is 2.2.1 and making sure I wipe everything and install it. Now it is stuck on the white htc screen and I can't do anything about it. I've done this like 5 times now and I won't be near a computer for another 2 days so this really sucks. Any advice would be amazing.

Just rooted a little over a week ago, WOW this rom is fast! I have tried a couple of sense based roms, the quadrant scores are identicle to the stock sense as best I could tell (plenty fast). But the scores on CM7, even running themes etc. is blazing! I don't have my processor overclocked or anything, but I am consistantly getting scores from 2,200 - > 2,400 ...I also know quadrant score is not everything, but shows how much sense slows down the phone I guess. Haven't checked out any other aosp ROMS yet but the addiction is growing. Big thanks to this forum and Corey for posting such easy to follow rooting/ROMing steps in the sticky!

If you restore the backup from ROM Manager you will just restore back to AOSPTheory... because that is what you make a backup of at that time.

No. You need to install gapps now and then restore your apps using Titanium. Hope that helps.

You might need to flash a new ROM... I hope you still have a copy of the ROM on your SD Card since you do not have access to a computer... pull the battery... then put it back in... hold down the Volume Down button, while holding this down press and hold the Power button... after about 10 seconds if you have not seen anything let go of the Power button, then the Volume Down button... this should boot you up in hBoot (a white screen), select Recovery, Wipe your Data, Cache, and Dalvik cache... then load your ROM... again, only do this if you have a ROM on your SD card.

Ok, I am seeing a quirk like I had in the 2.11 GB leak.

This morning, I used Maps to search an address for my driving destination. It was searching... and searching...

Did a reboot, and went on to work.

Then a couple hours later, I go back online for Sky.FM and tries to connect. Hmmm, no data.

So I toggle the Mobile Network like when this happened on the 2.11 GB leak and then got email update and finally, Sky.FM connected.

Data seems to still be dropping. I am using the 2.xx.xxx Radio.

What is the difference when the bars and 3g/4g is light gray vs green?

What radio do ya'll use? This is really annoying.

After updating to 1.7 I was having issues with the Tiamat's kernel, I did a full wipe but it was still acting funny. So I rolled with the stock cm kernel for a while. Over the weekend I realized that I hadn't done any modification's to my phone for over a week and I needed to scratch that itch. So I headed over to rootzwiki in search of a new kernel. I downloaded imoseyon's lean kernel and gave it a ride for the weekend. Everything ran smooth and I had no hang-ups. I just ran back over to rootzwiki and it looks like the kernel was updated on sunday, so I'll have to load it up.

So if you're looking to run a new kernel with good battery savings and a smooth interface give the lean kernel a ride. I'm set at 245 min & 1222 max, smatass gov.

[KERNEL] [AOSP] leanKernel: minimalistic kernel (v3.6.0, 9/11/11))

Has anyone found a way to keep the capacitive lights on permanently when the display is on?

I believe that they are always on by default, at least mine are. I've never noticed them not being lite when I go to use them. I just checked and they are on until my display turns off.
