[LINK][ROM]CM7 Thunderbolt.RC1.4 + 1.5.2 Updated 8/6/11

I'm on 1.3 can I flash this without full wipe?

I've been able to flash from 1.3 to 1.4 and from 1.4 to 1.5 without doing a wipe ... I'd say give it a try, just make sure to do a full backup of your 1.3 file for "just in case."

Thanks that's what ill try. I missed the 1.4 to upgrade to. Too fast release!!

Flashed over 1.3 everything seems fine but I do not know how to edit the permissions that are mentioned in the flash work around. Could some one tell me how?

I am going to give CM1.5.2 a try at work tomorrow (i have a sweet desk job when I am not working at best buy( ... I will give it a run for its money and post any issues or bugs and fixes that i can find... time for bed for me right now... hope you all have a good night

Thanks Ive actually got the apk does that work without editing permissions? Just remove 10.3 and install 10.2?
there really isn't any noticable diff in 10.3 and 10.2 for our phones... and yes just uninstall 10.3 and install the 10.2 apk... sometimes your market may not recognize it right away but so what... reboot and your good to go.. just never update from 10.2 like the market will tell you too... just ignore :)

My GPS works perfectly... .

here are some tips for you to get it working... let me know if you have tried any of these.
1. turn on GPS (under 'location and security" - select BOTH 'use wireless networks' and 'use GPS satellites'. then open the 'maps' app, menu and select GET DIRECTIONS. then enter in whatever end location you want and press the NAV icon (blue arrow). it 'should' open your nav app and work... if not, try this
2. leave GPS running on you phone and make a nandroid. after nandroid is done. restore one of you older nandroids that you know for a fact has working nav, when you restore it, turn on NAV and GPS. then go into ROMmanager and restore the nandroid you just made of this. that also, should allow you to use your nav and gps...

also, I use weatherbug and have to manually put in my location sometimes.... then for no reason, it will put me back in tennessee or somewhere crazy, and I have to go back and press menu -locations- and select the preset one that I made ealier...

I love this ROM but it does have its bug,, thnkfully I don't have many of them... I hope this helps, let me know

Flashed the new rc1.5.2... turned on GPS and locked on using Navigation... backed up the old ROM, Cleared Cache and Dalvik Cache, Flashed new ROM... everything is working. Sounds like I might still have the Beautiful Widget's Weather issue yet, but I guess I can live with that. I did test Flash Player... working just fine... strange, but I can not see Flash Player installed, but the Market does say it's installed... I know I had installed Flash Player 10.3 after flashing 1.4... oh well, it works.

One of the great features of CM7 is the ability to customize the auto brightness settings. Every ROM I've used (Including stock) did not use brightness levels that were to my liking. With CM7 I now have the auto brightness levels working the way I want. :)

If you're interested, take a look at this great explanation over at rootzwiki on how to customize auto brightness.

I am having an issue with my contacts using CM7 that I am hoping someone can help me out with

Most of my contacts are synced with my google account. However there are several contacts I have recently input into my phone that are not synced for some reason. Usually when I flash a rom, I will back up my contacts from my google account and using Backup Assistant in order to get all the contacts. On CM7 though it did not appear as if I could use backup assistant. I currently reverted back to a different sense based rom for now. Is there any way to get my google account to associate all my contacts?

Also, for all the gingerbread based roms that I have tried so far I have been unable to get into the cardock mode. Is this an issue with all the gingerbread roms or can it be resolved? If there isn't a way to fix it I may just revert back to froyo, since I use the car dock with nav everyday.

Thanks for any help

Edit: I solved my first problem about the contacts. If anyone else needs help with that look here
