Liquid 3.2 and Mobile Hotspot

First I run AOSP Liquid 3.2 and I love it! I usually use PDANET for tethering on my laptop with my bolt, but my coworker today needed some internet so I turned on the mobile hotspot under Wireless & Networks. It worked like a charm! but am I now being charged by Verizon for this feature? or is it free?

In another post someone claims that they can still see you using the Mobile Hotspot, can I get some answers here please?
