+++ Liquid Smooth Roms 3.2 for Multiple Devices +++

I've been surfing the web on and off all day today looking for a fix for the only qualm I have with this ROM. This ROM has been on my phone for not even twelve hours and I love it already, but looking for a definitive answer to my question that I have. As of right now I am running the most current radio that to my understanding only came out a few days ago (Baseband Version 1.48.00.0930w). I haven't used my 4G all that often on this phone on any ROM, but the capability of boosting my data speed is a nice thing to fall back on if I were to need it. When I go to turn my preferred network type in the radio information, I am able to choose WCDMA preffered, GSM only, GSM auto, CDMA auto, CDMA only, EvDo only, GSM/CDMA auto, and Unknown. To my knowledge, none of these options will enable the 4G service. Should I be using a different radio? As mentioned before I just flashed a new one (not too sure what version the old one was), but even before this I did not have that CDMA/LTE option in my radio options. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :).

Have you tried using an app called LTE switch?

Like what??? Or is this just every app???

Did you do a full data wipe before installing the ROM? If not, that could be the issue. If so, then try going in to the Liquid Settings -> Goodies -> Scripts and either clear the Davlik-Cache or use the Fix Permissions option or both and that may remedy the situation.

I think you quoted the wrong statement... I was trying to help someone else and was asking a question to help. Most people quote the person they want to help... I need no help about this ROM.

Tried a few other rooms and keep coming back to this one. Just amazing work. Can't wait for someone to crack data on pics as that will be probably be the next from i try.

will the same gapps file i flashed for cm7 work for this? if not does anyone have a link to the file i need? also if i can use the same gapps file, since i already flashed it when i flashed cm7, do i have to flash it again when i flash this rom?

CM7's GAPPS file is unique to CM. It's not needed with this ROM.

cool. i thought i read somewhere that a gapps file had to be flashed with every asop rom. must be an imaginary memory. thanks for the info.

Just flashed ROM last night and am experiencing the following problems:

- Home/Search buttons do not work. Nothing happens when pressed.
- Lock screen doesn't work. Just goes straight to home upon unlocking
- Occassionally, phone does not wake from pressing power (or any hardware) buttons
- GPS does not lock

I came from using BAMF SoaB 1.0.4. I suspect these issues arise from flashing only the ROM and not a Kernel. I'm sorry if this sounds noobish because it is.

If anyone can suggest any remedies, it would be greatly appreciated.

All ROM's come with their own Kernel... even though a few kernel's are available, but not required to flash after you flash a ROM.

Suggestions.... not sure if there are suggestions since we don't know much about you except for the fact you call yourself a noob, or at least noobish... did you wipe data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache before flashing the ROM??? And are you using ROM Manager or Recovery to install the ROM???

yeah, haven't had any of those issues that I'm aware of. Finally decided to try the Zoom kernel and that seems to help the low call volume issues. Still not great but better than the default kernel.

Yes I did all those wipes and used ROM manager. My other guess is that these issues arose from coming from a ROM that wasn't sense-based. I'm going to try flashing a sense ROM then this one again. Will see how that goes. Thanks for the reply tho

Next time, try using Recovery... go to the Sticky how to guide at the top of the forum, it's the same as the link "[Tbolt] How to for ROMs" in my signature below... Recovery is how to load a ROM... that way you can be sure you wiped your data, cache and dalvik cache separately, then load the ROM, then boot up.

***EDIT: Also, first start ROM Manager and be sure you have the latest version of Recovery flashed on your device... if not, update it!!!

Any other kernels to try with this? I can't find a working link for the other kernel listed. Currently running zoom kernel, the in call volume is slightly better, still low though.

Love the ROM, but couldn't find an active fix for SiriusXM. Had to revert back to a Sense ROM.

If I'm running an non AOSP rom and want to go to one, how do I change my Kernal and the Rom and radio? Do I wipe everything, then put the new kernel, then the rom?

Just confused and don't want to brick. Thanks

Edit: I see that the rom comes with a kernal in it, so wiping everything then flashing the rom should give me a new compatible kernel.

just wondering if anyone out there has tried installing the CM9 Music app? I think the app looks really promising and wanted to give it a try, but can't get it to install. Curious as to whether this is an incompatibility with liquid 3.2 or something else.

EDIT: aaannnnd i now realize that the CM9 music app will only work with ICS. Hurry team liquid!
