Lock Keyboard in Landscape

Hello everyone,

My wife recently got a Sensation and seems to like it. She is annoyed by the keyboard though and has trouble tying in portrait. I've been searching forums and can't seem to find an answer to this. Is there any way you can have the virtual keyboard automatically stay in landscape mode when going to your SMS app without having to turn the phone? I know that sounds lazy but I was curious. Are there any 3rd party SMS apps that do that? Thanks so much!

Good question...my hands/fingers are too large to type in the vertical position so I too always have to type in horizontal (I hate how some things, ie Contact entries, can only be entered in the vertical position where the keyboard is smaller!).

I would use an app to lock the phone into horizontal mode any time the keyboard pops up...sometimes the phone is slow to react to "tilting" or I find I have to shake the phone a bit to tell it I've rotated it to the horizontal position. Not a big deal, but a minor annoyance.
