Lock screen issues

Pixel 3 , updated to Q now I can't seem to hide the info of a text on the lock screen , the only options I'm seeing is ether show all , or don't show nothing . Before I could get the message icon but no info on the lock screen . And that's how I like it .

Am I missing something ? I've searched the web with no luck . And I've investigated the settings of both the phone and the app to no avail .

Is it no longer possible to hide sensitive info on the lock screen ??

Edit , well I figured out if you don't actually have some type of pin or pattern set up for a lock then it doesn't offer the same options for hiding sensitive content .

That's pretty irritating as I don't use a lock .
I hate whenever you get an update that changes or takes away a feature . GRRRRR

Thanks for the quick followup. I guess it does kind of make sense, though. If your phone isn't secured with a lockscreen, perhaps they figure that the user isn't interested in hiding sensitive info on the lockscreen either ...

Well that kinda makes sense , I just don't like it showing my message contents front and center every time one comes in .
Just change for the sake of change I guess . Hopefully Samsung will still offer it the way I like it whenever the 10 update comes .
