Lollipop?

I also endured the dreaded "Unfortunately com.sec.imsservice has stopped" error message every few seconds. My issue wound up being a program called "Thinkfree Document Viewer". Uninstalling it stopped the error message immediately and now the phone is "right as rain" after the Lollipop upgrade.

Thinkfree Document Viewer installed with some MobileIron apps my company rolled out a number of months ago. I wound up uninstalling MobileIron a couple months back, but Thinkfree Document Viewer never uninstalled. It also likely never received any more updates to make it compatible with Lollipop.

In my case it was neither a Lollipop, nor Verizon issue. But a downloaded app that was apparently non Lollipop compliant.

So I have the com.sec.imsservice issue, as well. How did you narrow it down to that specific app? Thanks

I upgraded yesterday but waited a few hours so I may have missed the Play Store error. Running just fine today. I did backup to Kies before the update just in case but no problems found yet.

I did a factory reset as soon as I got the updates installed. My phone is definitely faster in loading pages and apps. I have not yet had a chance to test the battery, but my phone is running smoothly. Sorry to hear others are having trouble.

My updates worked ok but now I see that Interrupt that seems to have replaced blocking mode doesn't seem to work. I have it set to let my favorites through at any time but if it is in Interrupt mode nobody gets through. Also the Auto Brightness is way too dark....so that is now useless.

Just a quick note to say that wife's S5 took the update OTA with zero issues. Was a fast upgrade for the most part, save the first full Lollipop boot. Nothing else to report except phone works as flawless as it always has. Now waiting for Lollipop on my Note 3!

sup man mine was doing the com.sec.imsservice has stopped as well i contacted samsung and they had no idea and wanted me to do a full restore, but had me boot it into safe mode first to take away all the 3rd party apps. for somereason when i camr out of safe mode i stopped getting the message and never had to do the restore lol hope tis works for u guys too

Since the upgrade my LG G3 has started turning itself on/off/on/off randomly throughout the night while sitting on the dock. Am exploring this further to see if it happens whilst plugged into charger, or not plugged in at all. Anyone else got this problem?

I've found battery life is fine, it's resource leaks that bother me. If I don't reboot the phone periodically it becomes virtually unusable.

debating whether or not i should update. i've been hearing mixed reviews about lollipop...mostly regarding the battery life

I jumped out of S5 boat already, but I had it for half a year and I noticed a modest increase in battery life on my phone when updated to Lolipop (I had it pretty early on as I live in Poland).

When I try to make a phonecall, either by dialling the number or by picking a number from my contact's list, I immediately get "Call Ended". After some trying i can call. But this problem is little bit annoying. And it all happend when i updated to Lollipop. Does anyone has same problems or any ideas to fix this problem?

Does factory reset get rid of the Lollipop update? Everything's slower, the battery dies in half the time it used to, and all of the interface changes have made the phone less useful.

Love the option to turn off "related apps" when using headphones.

How can you do that?

By the way: After deactivating all the animations, Lollipop works much better. Before, my phone used to "lag" as hell, now it's ok. But I don't really like Lollipop. All the animations fell like being on one of those ugly flash animated websites made in year 2000 and there's no way to deactivate that crap like the blue text raindrop or the ugly blue screen border tap color or the blue dot coming up when I activate something.
The Priority-Mode is really bad. Everywhere in the internet, people show screenshots how to set it up for weekdays and hours, but my Lollipop doesn't have these options. And Priority-Mode without time setting is pretty useless.
I don't like all the stuff they did to make it "look more like an iPhone". If I would like to have an iPhone, I would buy an iPhone...

I'll try the system out for 2 weeks and then I'll decide whether to downgrade to Kitkat or not.

Never done a factory reset. What exactly does it do? Does it put the phone back to the basic S5? Would I have to download all my apps back onto the phone? Set up Nova Launcher again? Wouldn't a restart after Lollipop do the trick instead of a factory reset? Why a factory reset after Lollipop? Sorry for all the questions but I would like to understand how the factory reset works. Thanks.
