Motorola promises unlocked bootloaders for future Android phones? (update) -- Engadget

Looks like Motorola has been listening to us after all.

It hasn't been conformed fully but according to North Asis Motorola

"Update: AusDroid managed to get in touch with Motorola North Asia, and it sounds like we're looking at the truth -- let's see if Sanjay Jha agrees when he wakes up tomorrow morning. "

The last sentence of their response though seems to indicate not much may change:

...where carriers and operators will allow it.

Verizon will be the biggest hurdle IMO.
