Love Moto X specs - just hope it has unlocked bootloader

Oh fud. I forgot that the screen has black parts around the white sections on Android When you factor that it indeed looks like 4.7". Dang!

Why do all the unlocked phones have to be so BIG? Makes me want to get an iPhone. Hence my conundrum: mammoth size & unlocked vs. reasonable size & locked

Do you suffer from Baby Hand Syndrome? Or you just prefer having harder to read/play/touch everything?

Sorry. It's the Device size itself that I'm trying to keep down. It was probably improper of me to be focusing on screen size considering this.I appreciate screen size, but find that the devices that have more than 4.3" screen are too wide IMHO. I think the iPhone 5 device size is really light and mobile but still offers a good size screen.

Go get a gimped HTC One mini - or S4 mini or Active or whatever they have. Android will never have small screen flagships again - people LOVE big screens.

The unlocked S4 mini doesn't support G4 in the US. (And maybe not even G3 on T-mobile.) The One mini doesn't exist, yet. We shall see what it supports.

I am also looking for a phone that it's too huge, so I've done a fair amount of research. I don't need the fastest fanciest gadget, but I want something fast and smooth with good battery life, solid radios, and I want it unlocked and running Jellybean. That's not an easy combination to find. I was planning to get an S4 mini, but the lack of G4 gives me pause.

I get it, when I had the OG Evo on Sprint I thought 4.3 was too big, lol. I figured between that and the 3.5 iPhone, that 4" would be perfect. Now I dig my 4.7" 1080p display and can't imagine going back.

And the HTC One mini's specs are out, on sale August 9 I believe.

What do you mean by G4 btw?

oops, I meant 4G, or LTE. Not G4.

And I'm sure a larger display would be nice. But my 4.3" Photon is already a little bigger than what I like to have in my pockets, and I am very unenthusiastic about phones getting yet larger.
