So i got this cheap LG K4 2017 with 8gb internal and a 64gb samsung micro sd card and i have moved all apps to the sd card but i still keep running out of room to install apps. So i have to remove apps to install other apps.

I cannot format the sd card to internal storage, it wont let me. Will upgrading to Oreo make this work for me?. I dont want to get a new phone all because of this!.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Android Central. You can't actually move apps to an SD card, only part of the app is moved depending on how it was coded. You may not be able to upgrade the device to Oreo, but that may make it worse as that OS will probably take up more storage just by itself.

I am having storage issues on my new LG k4 too.

Under settings/Internal data, my system data is nearly using 5GB when it's a month old phone and I kept getting the insufficient storage error. I just did a factory reset and the system data is still that big. Using DiskUsage app, I noticed the internal storage card starts out at less than 4GB and I see the system data is only 93.7MiB. Where is the other 4GB? Does anybody else have this problem? I understand the system uses some of bit of space, but this much??
