LP+ vs ADW EX

i like to scroll up and down on one big page for apps, not slide from left to right on multiple pages... ADW feels more like i have a samsung galaxy s phone, LPP is more like a HTC Sense phone...

You obviously don't know ADWLauncher EX. With ADW EX, you have a choice between five different drawer styles, vertical and horizontal. You want vertical scrolling? You got it, and you've got more than one way of doing it at your disposal. You want horizontal scrolling? Again, you've got more than one way of doing it at your disposal.

People who haven't actually really used ADW EX shouldn't be rating its merits against LPP.

Indeed! I thought LPP was the greatest thing since sliced bread until I tried ADW and then ADW EX shortly after. Tried to go back after the latest LPP update, but that didn't last long at all. Missed the gestures, hidden dock, theming options, etc. I'll give LPP another pass when he does the big update, but I think ADW just might win the day again.

agreed! having LPP + and running it for months I never thought I'd leave it. even after the recent update, I really like the new desktop transitions, but the HIDDEN DOCK in ADW EX, has won me over big time. you can have what ever you want in the Hidden Dock including your created folders! Just love it!!!

LLP is nice but ADW EX appears to work better for me, I love the transparent app drawer, I really prefer it over the black background because it takes away from them. The transition are also nice... I tried the new LLP but I found myself missing the ADW customizations side.

DarkSlide and ADW EX works beautifully together..

was unaware of the ability to select diff. drawer styles... but no reason to get upset over my opinion... i have used both and like LPP better, isnt that what this thread is for? opinions? so calm down

Everybody take a breath. Both launchers are great. I have LP+ and ADW EX. I love the widgets in LP+ but the overall feel of ADW EX IMHO is better.

I'm also excited to see what Fede has up his sleeve for the huge update (basically a rewrite of the entire launcher).

Agree 100%, been using LPP for quite some time and I truly love it. When ADW EX came out I figured what the hell and gave it a go. It seems to run much quicker and at this point it's my go to launcher.

Hope Fede wow's us with the re-write, and for the record I do miss the widgets.

I definitely agree about the combo of Darkslide & ADW Launcher EX.

I can't find ADW on the market. I haven't used either but want to try them. Are both of them free or paid? Thanks.

ADWLauncher is free. ADWLauncher EX is $3.15 and well worth a purchase. They are different. Don't download ADWLauncher and expect the same experience as ADWLauncher EX.

You could also visit the developer pages and see some screenies. A simple google will yield some as well. Both launchers are so customizable that it is often impossible to tell them apart once serious customization has taken place.
