I downgraded to stock ZVD...been forcing update check every day...nothing yet. I don't think there's any rhyme or reason as to who gets the update in what order. I'll just continue to wait like everyone else

To the few members who have received the update, where do you live at? Maybe the release is based on regions or something weird. I'm in Abilene, Texas. Nothing here yet.
to the people who managed to get zvj and are willing to give it up for a moment: could you downgrade to zvd, root it, and see if you can get the update prompt again? if you can, could you try getting the update.zip for us? that's be great.
It isn't based on region. Your phone is selected randomly based on phone identifier. Once you are selected it will keep trying to update you, though the process may be told to pause some time if there is failure.
Whomever has this update.zip, could you PM a copy. Need to work on new root procedures if possible.

Just downgraded from ZVJ to ZVD and rooted; hopefully the update will show up again and I can grab the update.zip. I'll post it up if I manage to get ahold of it.
live in miami...got the update on 4/4...wanna downgrade back to zvd... lost my root.. and none of the old roots will work... believe me i have tried them ALL!! wanna downgrade... but dont wanna lose my contacts or previous apps... any suggestions... on downdrading??
What was your impression of the new version of gingerbread? Less bugs I hope. Was the kernel freed from it's double tap issue? I could go on and on.....hope you want zvd just for root and not cause the new OS blows
Flash the ZVD or ZVH update.zip in the stock recovery without wiping data. If you go the ZVD route, you might have issues, if so boot back to recovery and wipe data/factory reset. You WILL lose everything, but signing in to your Gmail will get your contacts back automatically.
While your at it, maybe see if you can get the update again without installing it and grab the update.zip from /cache for us. You will have to be rooted on ZVD or ZVH.

Like I stated earlier in this thread, I went from HydroROM down to stock ZVD when the update was announced. Since then I've been checking this thread as others like crazy. 
I should root already just in case I do get it so I can pass it a long. On a side note, almost every day I've been getting notifications that my PRL has been updated. It happened twice yesterday. May be it's trying to push. Just thought I'd chime in. My wife is running Reborn and she is getting annoying with how I keep asking to check her phone. She doesn't have a jealous husband but she sure does have a techie. Have a great weekend and good luck getting some GB love.

You shouldn't lose anything
the phone is a LOT faster imo..No bugs as of yet.. usb charging issue seems to be solved along with the pc recognizing phone issue as well... just wanna go back to ZVD for the root... if not then guess i gotta wait till one surfaces.. hopefully it wont be long...only thing i didnt like was how they made the notification bar and the keypad for the phone with a dark background... and they put auto correct on the stock keyboard as well
also the call volume is a lot louder.. almost too loud...LOL. no more double tapping.. apps run a LOT faster.. changed the battery charged and battery charging icon as well.... changed the battery charging icon when phone is in sleep mode also...
Any sd card unmounting issues? I saw that someone earlier in the thread had it happen once, and a person on sprint's site said they had it happen too...
i have the sprint zone app on my lg.. havent had any mounting issues as of yet... (just mounted and unmounted just to check) none so far... might be with certain memory cards... i dont think the sprint zone aapp needs to be installed though.. i have decided to actually wait for a ZVJ root... im sure one is coming..because i actually Like my lg phone now... with the update...
You can always push ZVD again by KP500 if you want to. Might also help us get the update.zip...
