This has gotta be the slowest OTA rollout of all-time with a total of one user having received the update! Haha.
How can you tell what's included in the download? Is it because in the download file there is only a kernel and android folder?

I factory reset my phone, got the voicemail update, but not the new android. I can survive without any apps until OTA comes through, I'm hoping this might help it along. until then I still have my XOOM w/ ICS to play with.
So, what they're effectively saying is that they want to dip the proverbial update toes in the water first to see if they screw over just a few users before they go screwing a whole boatload like they did last time. Brilliant.
Yeah...maybe they should update their post to reflect that though. Just checked and it still says everyone will have it within 21 days, not 6 weeks.
Which is stupid, because most of us are still using the botched version of Gingerbread.
My first Android, the Sanyo (Kyocera) Zio, had a lot more in the O/S release including drivers and Sanyo-specific software. Some of it had source but most of it was already compiled. I don't see any of that in the ZVJ Open Source release.
Having said that I still say what I did before - I'd like a dev to confirm that. Android is not my standard dev environment (an IBM i is) so I'll defer to a more expert opinion.
Just checking, anyone able to pull the update.zip? Or if anyone has the update notice but hasn't updgraded yet, can you dump your logcat to a file? It's possible the link to OTA may be in there.

As I stated in my other thread, if you have received the notification and downloaded the update but did NOT install it, the update.zip will be in /cache. If you reboot your phone you might lose it, that's why I say stay rooted with a stock recovery. That way your ready to pull it with root explorer.
So the next user that is rooted and gets the system update notification but doesn't actually do the upgrade yet should be able to get the update.zip, logcat (hopefully with URL) or maybe even both!
That should increase our odds of getting this sooner!
They can do the logcat if they want to, but it's not really all that necessary. It will be in /cache
No, you can not. Just look at the logcat, and tell us the location of the update or post the update.zip thats in the /cache files I presume

No, that just creates an update.zip to reinstall titanium itself on a clean wipe.

They never said that they would update 5% of the users a day. Could push hard two weeks after April 4, and get 80% of the user base in the last week.
