Nice, I've been holding off on an LTE device until they fired it up in Lake County. Wimax works great around here, even always get 10+ inside my office and house.

After seeing your post I just ordered an EVO 4G LTE off of eBay. Let's see how LTE compares to Wimax.

Wow, nice! I'm in Vernon Hills and I tried updating my PRL and profile. 4G flashed for about 2 seconds and then disappeared. Have you seen improved reception and more bars on your phone?

It would switch between 4G and 3G inside my work for some reason...But as soon as I walked outside it'd go back to 4G. The whole drive home I kept an eye on it and it was 4G. Then at my house in Plainfield it was 4G. But I did notice it switch back and forth from 3 to 4G.

Still seems like it's kinda buggy, but I don't really care, since I don't use my phone much at work or at home. And those are the only 2 places I seem to be as of late.

I am able to get an LTE signal about 5 minutes from my house, which is still in Vernon Hills (Route 45 and Buffalo Grove Road/Fairway Drive). But close to route 60 and no LTE signal at all?

Let me try that again as I was pulling into my driveway near the end of the test and my phone just started to grab my home wifi.

Here you go:
