You guys should try the Speedtest app from Xtreme labs. See if that gives you more accurate numbers. Thats the one I use. Speedtest.net app always has its issues.

Did a speed test with the Speedtest app on an AT&T iPhone 4 and the TB just for the hell of it.

Right there is one reason I'm dumping my AT&T iPhone 4.

Did another test using the TB wifi hotspot and connected the iPhone 4 to it. When connected over wifi to the TB, the iPhone 4 got:

4.21 Mbps down
9.04 Mbps up

4G all the way!

Man I love this phone. On LTE north of Cincinnati I got 23000kbs on speedtest. I then clicked on WiFi and going off a good router and turbo road runner, I was only able to get 5800. It's much faster to keep WiFi off at all times.

Yeah, aside from the Speedtest app, I'm getting between 2-4 Mbps up and 29-34 Mbps down.

Ive made it home and get to see what the 4G coverage is like in northeast Houston. I even ran a compairison test of the 4G to my wifi at home which is an 802.11n radio behind a docsis 3.0 modem from Comcast using thier Blast! tier of service.

Here is the 4G LTE result:

They are damn near the same, which I am not too suprised to see considering Comcast provides they backhaul on thier fiber network to Verizon on this side of town.
