Haven't seen this discussed here before (maybe I missed it), I don't really know if this has been ongoing or just started during a recent update or not, but I just noticed that whenever I make or am in a call, or dial my voicemail, the signal indicator always goes from strong LTE to H (3G?). Is this normal? Anyone else see this?

Thanks, just curious.

If your network for Nexus 6p doesn't support volte, this is circuit switch fallback and normal behaviour.

I've had problems (using Fi) where I'll be on a call and as soon as the call ends the cellular icon suddenly goes into searching mode (a series of dots scrolling under the icon) at which point it reports no signal. After a couple of minutes it returns to normal (whatever the signal level was before I started the call).

Chezm, school me here. Volte is acronym for voice over LTE? OK. I think I get it. LTE is only data, and 3G is voice? I'm on ATT through cricket carrier and I don't think they have the Volte.

You got it brother. My carrier doesn't have volte for Nexus 6P either so my calls fallback to 3G.
