M9 update

on February 20th, my M9 (Sprint) updated to 6.0 and my emojis stayed the same. My friend just got the M9 later that week (Verizon) and had a software update. After he updated to 6.0, he had another software update a day later that changed his emojis to the ugly fat ones. How can he get them back? He is not willing to root his phone.

That change was probably included in the Verizon update. Short of rooting, he can download a third party texting app. Textra allows you to choose which emoji type you see. This won't change the system emoji, but will change it for texting.

thank you!! and finally I have another app to use for texting, I never updated GoSMS to the terrible update in 2014, but when I got 6.0 it stopped working so I had to resort to stock messenger. Now I can customize everything again
