Root after updating TB

How will this process affect a TB that has been upgraded with the leaked OTA update and updated radio? What is the best way to root and have the update? (the update fixed the low audio during video recording problem along with some 3G/4G connectivity issues.)

Thanks!

Marc

OTA update on rooted T-Bolt using this method

I rooted my T-Bolt with this method. I'm not familiar with all the different parameters when rooting (s-on, s-off, etc.). I've read the XDA comments about flashing this update over an "unsigned kernel" locking the phone.

I have the stock kernel and stock ROM. At this point I am not concerned with loosing root. Will I be able to safely install the update OTA? If not, how should I do it?

Thanks in advance...

Just for clarification I moved some of the bloatware to my SD card that came with my TB using your guide, should I move those files back before I do this update? and can I just reroot using this same guide?

So this is what I am getting...

Went thru that video twice... Sorry!! First time trying to root with adb... Had a Dinc that I root via unrevoked... Thanks!!

When I type in "$ ./adb shell /data/local/busybox md5sum /data/local/misc.img" (without the $) I never get a md5sum number. No number at all. Not sure what I am dong wrong.

Just finished rooting using this method! Had one slip up, which was my mistake, but worked perfectly after that! This is my 3rd android device that I've rooted and this was by far the best tutorial I've used. Thanks so much for your hard work!

I apologize if this has already been asked and answered but would I use this same method to flash the new RUU or is that a different process. I really want the new radio but I'm not sure if I have to write any code for it or not. Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this is a basic question: but after following this procedure, will I still be able to receive OTA updates normally (eg. if I were to click on check for updates on the phone, would it still work?)

Thanks!

I had my doubts but I decided to take the plunge and root my phone yesterday using this method thanks for making this procedure painless...this guide was anaesthesia LOL I mainly did it to get rid of the bloatware...I've done that...now I'm ready to flash a rom The Perfect Storm v1.4 but I don't wanna screw anything up...better safe than sorry. I have downloaded Free ROM Manager (Clockwork Mod) TI Backup, Astro, Kernel Manager Lite etc.

1) What's the best way to backup my current ROM?

2) How do I flash a ROM using my Mac?

3) And the Perfect Storm v1.4 ROM says I have to flash the new radio in order for the newer version to work. How do you flash a new radio? And do you flash it before/after the ROM?

Thanks in advance!

Help

I have rooted and unrooted... now using the same method to root again my mac/adb wont recognize my device.
i have all the files in the right place, debugging is on, ./adb devices wont list anything.... im guessing using hboot with the stock firmware to unroot messed something up?. ive tried to reinstall stock thunderbolt but it fails at the end, im guessing because its already stock?
