Sync of Gmail accounts

In the settings screen, all my accounts, my gmail accounts are listed as not synced. When I try to manually sync them nothing happens. They still say unsent. What can I do to fix it?

Go to the main system settings, tap Accounts>[your Google account], and make sure Gmail is checked on. Also, make sure your auto-sync is turned on.

It worked. But you can't believe it. I don't use Gmail as my email account. I was having trouble with MAILBOX so I reinstalled Gmail. Strangely, the install resynced the Google accounts. Go figure. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone have an email address for Verizon where I can ask general questions?

For asking questions of the company? Go into any Verizon corporate store. (Verizon Mobile has too many divisions to have one "general question" email address.)

For questions about Verizon, our Verizon forum. For questions about a particular Verizon phone, the forum for that phone.

Backup to Gmail

I noticed that in SETTINGS there is a backup to this email account. How do I see what's backed on the Google account? I have a backup on the cloud but I wanted to see what's in the Google account. How do I look at the backup on the Google account?

Google account or gmail account - they're different things? Your gmail is at GMail.

I know the account is a Gmail account. That's the account that settings shows is the backup account. How do I find that backup?

That depends on the email service. With GMail, you go to GMail, click on the box to the left of an email sent by that sender, click on More, click on Filter messages like these, click on Create filter with this search, check the Delete it box, check the Also apply ... box and click the Create filter button.

Any emails from that sender will be deleted when they arrive.

Other email services (your ISP, Hotmail, Yahoo mail, etc.) have different ways of doing pretty much the same thing.
