Major Bionic Issues, Anyone else?

When I plug it in to charge, using the included wall charger, the touch screen becomes finicky at times. Buttons don't work correctly, screen will zoom in and out when I'm only using one finger. Anyone else have something similar?

I had posted earlier that I had also had a few issues myself with random reboots and one complete shutdown that required a battery pull. Went into VZW. Store rep had no clue and her knowledgebase wasn't updated with anything yet so she called into tech support. They suggested trying a new Sim card. Well Day 38 hours straight and no random reboots! I also tried the sim pull before going into the store that another person suggested. That worked for about a half day, but eventually the issues started up again. This is the longest I've gone since getting this phone without a reboot. The only other odd thing I'm noticing now (and I think its more of a software bug) is when I'm scrolling through my gallery, eventually it freezes up and my photo is blurry with the word "loading" watermarked in there. Only way to get out is to hit the home screen. Minor issue though.

Any other reasons why it would just randomly make the droid noise? I've had it say it twice many times now and today while at work, it would just do it at random times.

So far today haven't had any of the issues that I had yesterday. Still going to bring it to the store and see if they'll swap it out just in case.

I had the same issue on my eris. If you have taskiller auto kill on, it may kill the notification after the alert sound is made. Try changing auto kill level to safe.

Edit: Can I blame the wierd splitting of my post on my bionic, by the way I have had some small issues but all were fixed with a reboot an none returned

Only weird issues I have had with mine have been I had it on for just about a week straight, and going into Handcent once the phone locked up and wouldnt do anything, had to pull the battery to reset it. Also, occasionally when I hit the power button to turn the screen off and go to set the phone down, the screen will turn itself back on. Otherwise, I have been having occasional data issues, like going from 4G to 3G and back, it will like get confused and just drop data all together and either come back after a bit, or require me to toggle airplane mode to get it back.

I really hate to say this but im going to be hitting the 14 day mark this week and i am still having issues with my second phone.
On this phone i am getting the Hissing sound from the sound jack. I also have the lower button backlight going off all the time. It has something to do with the Ambient light sensor, but im not sure what the issue might be.

I am going to talk it over with my Verizon Rep, but i think im going to have to jump ship on the Bionic. I am concerned that this is my second phone and i am still having issues. Im not getting roped into a 20 month nightmare. The phone is great when it works, but at this point im fed up. :(

The biggest issues ive had and I'm sure many have had has been the signal strength and the alternation of 4g and 3g. My thunderbolt didn't have that issue. Also a weird issue is the flash coming on without being in the camera app. I'm sure this will be addressed in a maintenance update but I think that there shouldn't be these many issues with a phone that was held back for so long. I too am reaching my 14 day mark and am thinking about exchanging it for a new one.

Had my first issues last night and this morning. Was awaiting a phone call this morning and wondering why the call hadn't come. Checked phone and realized sometime over night the phone had locked up/shut off. Had to pull battery to get it operational again.

Less than 30 minutes later, screen locked up, then screen goes off and have to do another battery pull to get it running again.

I really like this phone, however... I'm worried now. I'm actually debating returning it for a refund. :(

Face it guys..the phone friggin sucks..I have never seen this many issues in one phone. Although android in general is prone to these issues, its android... there is nothing you can do about it

The phone does not suck; you've never seen a phone with this many issues? You obviously don't get out much. The phone is fast, smooth, and well built.

Android users are alpha testers..not even to beta yet..I saw a post here that said "all apps arent compatible yet, give it some time" bull****...the damn phone shouldn't be released if it cannot function properly..but then again no android phone works right..there all junk

App compatibility is the responsibility of the individual app developer not Google and certainly not the OEM.

The phone is awesome, no lag whatsoever and my friend just bought one and she likes it too. All phones have issues and that is something that is never going to change and will actually get worse the more complicated these phones get. If you don't like it I invite you to get an iPhone and Uncle Steve (or I guess it's uncle Tim now) will make sure your apps are perfect (rejecting any that don't suit his exactly standards for what he thinks the phone should be and that try to provide functions he does not want you to have yet) and wait for him dish a few core features of any other smartphone every year to make you get the new model.

Android phones are COMPUTERS and all computers have compatibility issues from time to time.

Oh yes I do, I have had 8 android phones..currently a ns4g..problems from day one. Oh and who said anything about an iphone? I sure didn't. Look guys..for real truth is android is unstable. period. And is so fragmented its insane, I have rooted and rommed till blue in the face and still cant get a product that just works. Take that for what it's worth..I'm not trying to trash on anyones phone but c'mon man..a brand new much anticipated phone of this caliber and this is what happens..I can say that its not the hardware that creates all these problems

There has never been a new phone released that does not have issues, especially when they are powerful as this one. Take your hatred somewhere else. We don't care to hear it

A friend of mine is returning his. Just isn't happy with it. He tried to like it. Said it reboots constantly. The camera and video aren't good. His BT is very statically too.
