Wow!! For weeks my LTE Gear S3 was really bad on power consumption. I was getting about 24 hours, sometimes less, on a single charge. I also had frequent (every 5-10 minutes) drops from bluetooth the Wifi connection. Just would not stay paired with my Note 5.
Well, enter the Note8! Received the new Note8 on Thursday, 7 Sep. In order to pair my Gear S3 with the new phone, I had to do a complete factory reset and re-pair, including reinstalling NumberSync.
Since sometime Thursday evening, when my Gear S3 was last at 100%, I have not recharged it and it is still at 55% as of Sunday morning. Also, I have not noticed a single drop in bluetooth connection between the Gear S3 and my Note8.
If you are getting really poor battery life, you might try a complete unpair, factory reset, and re-pair. Downside, you will likely lose most/all your personalization settings, maybe even some watchfaces.
Was well worth it for me. Your mileage may vary.
Cheers.
