Maps Directions - No Voice Allowed?

When trying to speak your "end point" in maps, does it take? Every time I speak it bounces me back to a starting point. It hears what I'm saying and even dictates it properly for all of a second, but then reverts back to a starting point in the end point space. I've tried the mic button on Swype, Swiftkey and HTC Sense keyboard. I've cleared out the cache, defaults, everything. Anyone else having this problem? BTW, I can type in the destination fine, but that's not as convenient as speaking it.
