Apparently, the reviewer used a dock to achieve this. Seems to work displaying the screen and charging it at once using a dock

Yeah it seems to function similarly to the dex in terms of the dock, although it's nice that the dock isn't required.

Yes, a dock is very useful. It'll come in handy for this kind of situation

Emui Desktop is a cool new feature that hasn't really been talked about a lot. Looks like its implemented a little better than how Samsung is doing it with Dex. Still, can't decide if this is gimmicky or a solid feature. I guess we'll find out when more people can test it.
