Mate 10 desktop mode

Has anyone used the desktop mode for a week or a significant length of time? I use Cloudready and I'm curious if I would notice any difference.

Can anyone chip in for this ?

I agree, it looks very slick although I'm not sure what apps you can run in it but I would imagine that you'd be able to run Google office apps. I may just have to upgrade my mate 9.

Hi, the Desktop mode works really well. The monitor I use has the mouse and keyboard plugged in to it and uses a USB C input to connect video so I can plug my Mate 10 Pro in and the keyboard and mouse work as well. I can also confirm that the phone DOES charge in this configuration.

I do have one issue related to the post quoted. I can't see my Gmail app when in Desktop mode? I can see some other apps but not that one, which is the most important one for me.

Not really vicious. It was redirecting you to Amazon France. Youtube did tell you which URL you would be redirected to.

I am planning to buy the Huawei Mate 10 (not PRO) phone to replace my LG V20.
Keen on the desktop feature and been researching.

I have a mate 10 pro, desktop mode started up when plugged into the usb-c to hdmi cable. I can also get to the virtual mouse, but when pointing at an input menu, virtual keyboard did not show up. I have Gboard and Google Pinyin Input as my Virtual keyboard choices. If I plugged in a USB hardware keyboard/mouse, I can enter English text, but I cannot do Chinese input. I need a virtual keyboard that works in the desktop mode. What is the original virtual keyboard, is it Gboard? Any help will be appreciated. Thx!
