So I know there was one post already related to this but no solution in that thread has worked, nor has any solution posted on various websites.

I wish I could just disable LG IMS as the frame work contributes to features of my phone I simply don't use, however I cannot find the place to do so nor the IP type most websites tell me to. Like I said I have a Stylo 4 so that may be the issue.

I also doubt it has to do with any particular app as a factory reset did not fix it.

I am at my wits end so either a detailed guide for disabling it or any other fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone keeps trying different things and I don't think anything is working permanently. Anyone do something that worked permanently? Or those people gone now because it's no longer an issue for them?

i had the same problem. finally figure out that you actually have to click on "Slot - 0 : TMO / US in order for it to bring up the secret menu. finally got to it and followed instructions but it still didnt work for me.
When I changed it to IPV4V6, it didn't work for me either. But when I change it to IPV6 only, it works. You may want to experiment with the different options there. Good luck.

Try this

Apps/notifications -> app info -> three dots -> Show Sytem -> com-lge-ims-rcsprovider -> storage

clear data.

I had done this also only way i found to get into the menu was full factory reset with no sim card and no connection to get into the settings
sorry for double post hit quick reply not quote my bad

Re: LG IMS has stopped

Hi, I have an LG Stylo 4 and I have tried all of the solutions in this thread. None have worked. We may have to wait for a solution to crop up from LG and Tmobile themselves :/

Yeah that worked for some, if you have more then 1 IMS app there clear data in all 3 like early on the thread

Mine don't give me the option to delete data. Where it says it, it is not highlighted to where it will not let me delete the data. I use Metro PC, not PC Mobile, lol, sorry about the other comment. It's part of T-Mobile.

i have tried everything to get this fixed and nothing works. at this point im just going to wait it out and see if they get if fixed by the time i get up tomorrow. hopefully they will. if not i will either be getting a different phone, or changing phone carriers all together. if they cant get it fixed it would be nice if they would offer everyone that has an lg phone that is having this issue some form of discount towards getting a new phone, but i doubt that will happen.

I agree with you. Mine just started today.

My "Unfortunately LG IMS has stopped" assault started at 2 pm today, Sunday the 22nd. T-mobile customer LG G6. I've tried everything I can find but basically I am locked out. No phone/no text. No network. Tells me to use wi-fi - connected but nothing available. I can't even log into my T-mobile account on my desktop due to 2fa - which means I'm screwed for financial accounts too!

I stopped into a local T-Mobile store on my way to the gym - packed. Stopped backed afterward - still packed but I stood to listen and talk to others waiting and just about everybody in there was having the same problem. The staff was clueless. Their fix? Upgrade. Seriously. Upgrade! Or they were sorry but they couldn't help me. They showed me a message from T-Moble on their computer, they are working with LG to find a fix. They gave me this phone number to call: 1-833- 378-0003.

We can only wait and hope they fix this for the tens of thousands (probably more) customers in the same boat.

Whether its LG's problem or T-Mobile's problem, it doesn't matter that LG is getting out of the phone business, they can't just drop people like this. They can, but they need to offer prior notification! Upgrade my ***. I actually do have plans to upgrade, to Verizon as I've had dropped service from T-Mobile too many times in emergency situations the past few years (auto broke down, tornado, etc) - where all the Verizon people around me still had service.
