So I know there was one post already related to this but no solution in that thread has worked, nor has any solution posted on various websites.

I wish I could just disable LG IMS as the frame work contributes to features of my phone I simply don't use, however I cannot find the place to do so nor the IP type most websites tell me to. Like I said I have a Stylo 4 so that may be the issue.

I also doubt it has to do with any particular app as a factory reset did not fix it.

I am at my wits end so either a detailed guide for disabling it or any other fixes would be greatly appreciated.

I merged another thread, made this a sticky, and edited the thread to be more generally about LG and IMS (without mentioning a specific device name, since it's happening across LG devices).

This also happened to me today. I have a LG Stylo 4 and I did find the IMS setting and I was able to change it, but it didn't solve the problem.

Chiming in here. If it is a T-Mobile issue, it's due to residual activation storage/apps still being incorporated in the device--I've since switched to Google Fi over a year ago and I'm experiencing this issue as well (LG G6 ThinQ).

Have not been able to get the error popups from ceasing regardless of trying any of the previous methods.

I wonder if because lg no longer in cellphone business maybe something not getting supported?

I have an LG Sylos 6 and my kid has a different one and we started getting the message a few hours ago. I can’t use any of the fixes I have found as my phone doesn’t have any of these features. Nothing works not even a reset so don’t do that… anyone have any ideas?

LG IMS stopped working

Hi I just woke up this morning and saw this message popping up on stop. Wondering if anyone else if having this problem. I got an LG V40 ThinQ with T mobile. Also, is anyone's phone also just constantly crashing too since this morning?

I know it's a long thread, but there are some valuable suggestions and other information explaining what's happening. So please review the thread.

Thank you Greg,

Has not popped since. 15 minutes now.

that worked for my LG Stylo 4. It worked until I restarted and turned my Wifi back on then the message stared popping up again. Appears as long as I turn wifi OFF and do these steps and of course dont restart the phone it works

LGV30 Android 9. Just started today. Same as everyone else. The above did not work for me.

Re: Why does LG IMS keep stopping Aristo 5?

T Mobile most certainly causes bugs to pressure you to buy new phones. I have an older LG Aristo. Metro PCS over the years was big on this. I think it is time for a class action lawsuit. It is called planned obsolescence.

There is absolutely no evidence of this. Please do not spread FUD on this forum, thank you.

Hi welcome to AC!
We trying suggestions to see what happened but nothing concrete as of yet

Look at play store last apps updated that relate to iMS, LG service, carrier services , that maybe we can help narrow down if it was a update on a app that is causing this

Ok. I took my sim out and put it in another phone just to use the phone. During the hour or so my lg did not have a sim I was still using it for non call matters. That entire time I never had a pop-up. Now with sim back in there's constant popups.

The phone that you put the sim into did it have a pop up?

This instruction seems to work so far for my V30 Thin Q. I found this site on a search engine. Was glad I did, thank you to alch3m1stz. Was also very glad it wasn't just me! I suspect TM's support lines are jammed right now.

Speaking of which, has anyone else noticed that ever since the merger with Sprint, it's much more unlikely to get a USA based call center?
