Re: Emoji's on contacts?????

You can put emojis in a another text field and then copy and paste them into your contacts. However, google contacts sync will not work and always give an error when you put emojis on contacts

Re: How do I paste emojis on my Note 3?

It's definitely the update. I just sent some prior updating without any problems. Soon after updating, I started receiving "Message may be corrupted on recipient device. Change input mode to automatic." messages when including an emoticon in a message using the stock keyboard on my Note 3. Even after I switched to Swiftkey, I had the same issue.

Yes, same for me..only after update. Can't put emoji next to contact name anymore.. Arghh! Anyone found a work around?

Go into messaging and hit your menu key on your phone. Go into settings, click the top one that says sms and click the option that says input mode. Click automatic. Your phone should be fine after that and you shouldnt receive that message anymore.

Go into your text messaging, click the menu button on your phone, settings, the one that says sms at the top, input mode, automatic. That should fix it.

Re: Is there a way to put emojis with the contact name?

Try an alternative keyboard like Swiftkey, which doesn't hide the emoji option when it feels like they're not relevant.

If you've changed the font on your phone they might not display.

Re: note 4 att

Get a keyboard with emojis. (Emojis aren't part of a cellphone, like talking or texting - some come with apps that can do emojis, some don't.)

I have an at&t Galaxy s5 and last week I updated to 4.4.4, since then I can't add emojis to any of my contacts names. Any of my old contacts who had emojis still do but I cannot edit and add more or create contacts with emojis. I'm not sure why but if there's a solution that would be great! Also, I'm using SwiftKey keyboard.

The weird thing is that it let's me type some emojis, but not others.

Hmm. I haven't heard of this before. Are you able to send emoji's in a text message? If not, go into your settings and make sure under text messages "Input mode" is at automatic. See if that helps!
