Android Central Question

After the June 1st security patch, my SD card showed up as corrupted. It doesn't format on my phone, nor on my pc. On my phone it gives a variation of the message "command '1075/11 volume partition disk: 179.64 private/public' failed with 'null', the pc says it was unable to complete formatting. I've tried to recover the files (unsuccessfully so far) and the SD card formatter doesn't want to format it either. Using the chkdsk command just gives the message that the files are in RAW format.

This pc shows the folders, but not the actual files, and the size is also nowhere to be found. Deleting/copying doesn't work either.

Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated, because I'm at a loss right now.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, the data is probably unrecoverable. Was the card originally formatted as Internal Storage or Portable Storage?

At this point, if that data is really important to you, you could check with a data recovery specialist, but that kind of job can be costly, without any guarantee that all data will be recovered.

SD cards are inherently not as reliable as onboard storage memory, so it's always a good idea to keep important data on the SD card backed up somewhere else, like the cloud or your computer hard drive.
