I have read many posts regarding microsoft exchange. And I dont have a clear answer yet.

FWIW: I have done blackberries on BES and currently running Iphone 3GS. I have wanted an android phone for a while. And I have really wanted this XOOM. I read little bits of information that have me hesitating regarding android and microsoft exchange.

I think my Microsoft exchange integrates great with my iphone and it works even better with my Boss' IPad. Is the current android OSs struggling with the Microsoft Exchange environment. I will have a hard time justifying my cost if I cannot integrate as well or better than an ipad on the nex xoom.

I do understand that nobody is using 3.0/honeycomb yet so there is no absolute answer until a hands on, but everyone tiptoes around it or says to use a different service.

thanks

As you said, no one can speak for Honeycomb or the Xoom yet, but I can tell you my experience with my Motorola Droid 2 running Android 2.2 (Froyo), and it's highly unlikely that the Xoom and Honeycomb would be a step backward.

I currently sync two exchange accounts with my Droid 2, with absolutely no issue whatsoever. Typically (somehow), my Droid 2 receives the e-mails faster than Outlook on my Windows laptop. I have absolutely no issues syncing calendar, contacts, or e-mails. I have personally not tried tasks, so I can't speak for that functionality.

I hope that helps, but I couldn't run my business without my ability to sync with exchange, and I am not hesitant to buy the Xoom at all. I'll have one on launch day.

I appreciate the information. That is pretty much the only thing holding me back. I know if it didnt work out great i could probably sell it after. But I planned on buying one at launch and didnt want to be pissed when it didnt work. I too live on my exchange account and need it to run business. I am leaving the day after launch for a week vacation and this would be a life saver if all worked. I am hopeful at this point

I don't use exchange but, have heard it runs well on Android. I also would like to use the Xoom for some business tasks if possible.

Running exchange on my Incredible with no issue whatsoever. I'm hoping to be right behind you in line for the Xoom.

Should have updated this. I went for it and picked up on thursday. Love it. No complaints so far. Well... small ones that will be resolved with more developers writng Apps and current dev updating old apps.

I have my Xoom connected to our exchange sever 2010 - no problem. I simultaneously connect with my Xoom, Tab, and D2G without problem.
