Microsoft Exhange Email - Deleted Emails

I have my gmail account setup via Microsoft Exchange with the Inbox, Sent and Trash folders set to sync. The Inbox and Sent folders are fine but when I delete an email and log on via the web to my gmail, none of the deleted emails appear in my Trash folder. Does anyone else have this issue and a fix?
